Another example of Zeitview's low pay... I just got an offer for a property with 3 buildings. Two of the buildings are in the same area and the other is on another nearby street. They want the same bird's eye and perimeter shots on all 3 buildings as well as the mapping shots of all 3. The pay offered? $70! The same that I'd get for one building and one mapping area! Good Luck for whoever accepts that one!
Just finish uploading the assets for the mission using the Air 2s and Dronelink for the first time. Everything went well with the flight! On another note though, you may or may not know, that Zeitview says that if "Controlled Airspace Authorization" is needed for a mission, it'll be on your dashboard. This mission was in Class C Airspace, but I had to get LAANC approval there was nothing on the dash. Always check it out yourself.
Yeah you're right about the small cut of the $$$ that we get! I have another one tomorrow that I am trying to get rescheduled to Tuesday. The winds are suppose to have gust at 15 mph and over. The set up for the Air 2s is quicker but I got spooked when I used the simulated flight option and it didn't complete the planned flight. "worth it" is all relative isn't it... This goes for most gig jobs (ie Lyft, Uber, DoorDash, whatever...) you need to do the math on it. The time it takes you to shoot and process, the mileage/wear and tear on your vehicle, communications, it all adds up...question then is, does the money you make then add up. It can make OK "fun money" but I don't see how folks could make a decent living this way. Zeitview and the likes all are depending on the churn of new 107 dreamers opting in and replacing the ones that they are burning out. Keep using them to build your skills up though...and better, build your contacts through them!
There is more to the math. Zeitview is also bad at communication, cancels on a whim, and communicates inconsistently. They say "ask if you have questions" then treat you poorly when you do. You can do everything perfectly, and they will still try to find a way to nitpick the deliverables. They have gotten worse and worse. Race to the bottom indeed.
If you want to inform people, provide numbers so people can know if it’s worth it or not for them. I have no idea what is “worth it” for you. An average pay per hour video for this types of jobs will be highly valued for people new to the industry.
You make a good point. My bad. Most of their jobs pay $70/hr, and some go for $120/hr. If nobody accepts the mission they can go as high as $200 but that's rare. So, most seasoned pilots will say it's not worth it. But it's good for a newly licensed pilot bc they're getting paid to practice.
I hear you because I was thinking seriously about getting my 107 I think it’s about time so what you’re doing is inspirational for me
My rates - Ortho Map (Up to 2000 photos) - $995 (I pay $50 for my editor to build out the map and $50/yr for each map to be hosted).

Lmao!! Good point! I've heard others who do it full time say that they got burned out from doing real estate work. Mostly, bc RE agents don't want to pay much and the work is repetitive. But I like mapping so it might take a while. I just gotta get so real clients and ditch the gig work.
How much are you guys getting paid to shoot these Zeitview missions RocketRyder510?
Most are $70/hr. I do one monthly that's $120/hr. Either way, it only takes me 20 mins. So it's not too bad.
@@Rocket510 So you don't do too many of them? Are their lots available or so you only get one a month? Not sure where you are located but are you aware of Spexi? If you;re in Detroit, that is the only US city avaiable right now, but I've been told many more are coming.
Mission details be crazy lol
Fa real doe! But once you understand it's really not too bad.
That's great perspective and feedback. Thanks
How many battery you use on this job in the time it took.
I ended up using 2.5 batts and total flight time was about 1.5 hrs. I had a rain delay as well so I was on the clock for 2 hrs total.
Puts alittle money in your pocket good to.build up your profolio
That's true! But sadly, you can't use the footy in your portfolio. It becomes their assets once you submit them. 😪
I've had good experiences with Bees360.
@@Rocket510 Thanks for the context. I might do it for a few months to learn the trade.
No prob man! Good luck! Keep me posted
