- In today's video, I travel from Erbil to Lalish, South Kurdistan for the Yazidi's annual festival. The Yazidis welcomed me wholeheartedly, and I learned lots about their history, traditions, music, and cuisine. This was a really special day, and I was grateful to get to enjoy their fall celebrations.

The name Yazidi is WONG! The correct name is E-Zadi. Ezad that is translation of the workd God in Persian/Zorastrian. This people is Kurd, one of Iranic folks. Yazid is an Arabic name.

This is some of the only decent content about the Yazidi people I've been able to find, besides accounts of the horrible things which have happened to them. I'm glad you made this, so some of all the good things can be seen as well! And you have attracted all the real Yazidis to the comments, you must have done a good job since they like the video. :)
Great idea to make this! And to the Yazidis here, I would love it if some of you could share more good English language videos about your people. Such videos are hard to find, and most of them are produced for political reasons (good or bad), not to actually teach what you are like, or what you believe. Iam also severe follower of Yazidi community in one or other way represents our Peacock God Lord Murugan Temple in Tamilnade which similarly older then 10 000 yrs and also strong myth that Tamil God murugan / Karthick roaming entire world especially moutaineous regions . Fyi in Tamil nadu also murugan on top of kundru or mountain or kurdu istan

You must to go there 2 more times 😅 because everyone who goes there once must visit Lalish 3 times but honestly I was there 2 times and now I’m in Germany and don’t know when to go the 3dt time

I believe their annual festival co incides almost with Lord Kartikeya's annual worship performed by Hindus around the world. I believe Yazidism is an branched out religion from Sanatan Dharma. Bharat and Hindus revere Yazidis and Yazidism.

There is no country called Kurdistan, this Yezidi religion is present only in Iraq, and there are many religions in iraq , such as the Sabeans, Shabak, Mandaeans, Circassians, Caucasians, Turkmens, Orthodox Christians, and Armenians 🇮🇶❤️
Yezidis are indigenous Kurds. The Kurds before the Islamic invasions were Yezidi, so why lie?
