But after that you just miss a lot of context as a newbie and the legendary battle rounds in the compilation for example are losing a bit of their magic when warching the battles the first time if you already heard that rounds somewhere before

the beatbox rabbit hole is very deep and fun to explore. yall should check out some of the wild card entries for solo and loop station categories. ice and mr androide for solo are insane
Loop station is my favourite category and they always have the best judges for loopstation too usually beardyman, tom thum, inkie and mb14..those guys are like the loopstation masters too.
The best looper in my opinion is Brez! Not only is he super talented at loopstation he can rap too and his energy is next level nobody can get the crowd more hyped than Brez he brings a whole new energy completely

The bbu was a beat box tournament organized by 2 german beatboxers/youtubers. It had the biggest price pool for beatboxing. Also the concept for it was that beatboxers were allowed to "fix" the audio as long as it stays beatboxable as one person. So they were allowed to filter frequences etc. This competition also looked at the video quality. Every one had to film a music video
beatboxing and freestyle/battle rap was allways two things I found extremely impressive.... I am deff here for theese B-box reactions, I definetly havn't been keeping up, because theese dudes were mental! :D

B-Art has had crazy sounds for a long time. from the few times I've seen him (mainly battles against D-Low) he just always seemed to be missing a compostition that would do him justice

One of the best battles of all time
There are really couple of these videos that really make you change how you view beatbox.
Inertia from gbb'21 first round, that was fire, first competition after c19 restrictions.
Also loopstations are quite amazing. For example Saro vs MB14 is quite amazing piece too, but every piece from Saro in that competition is just on whole another level compared to competitors.
First visit: as a novice listener this raises so many questions.
- Is there a genre of beatboxing that crosses over with rap?
- Is it all freestyle or do they make songs?
- Can they notate the beatboxing down so another beatboxer can reproduce it?
(Mind blown).

The way the crew competition works or at least last year is each crew demonstrates ONE showcase round I think 5-6 minutes and they rank all the crews

B art hands down has come a looooong way since his early nervous battles in GBB. I'll go ahead and say this man can easily bang on dlow's level no probs!! Also I'm currently learning beatboxing as well, still quite new myself. If you ever wanna work on basics, fundamentals I'd be honored to teach/learn. A big shootout to dlow's beatbox tutorials as I've found his methods, and explanations very effective at achieving, attaining certain sounds/techniques. Keep on beating those boxes everyone! Esh!!

King Inertia dropped "Reckless" when he was young and it blew up. He has developed into a world class beatboxer. If I may humbly recommend Den "Moments I Had" or "Feel it Still". You won't be disappointed. Or if you wanna check out more King Inertia "It's Too Late" or "Reckless"

I can highly recommend that you dip your toes in the other catagories that beatboxing have to offer. Loop station, tag teams both with loop station and without. Groups like Berywam, or a tag team like Kotcha for example. RUSY on loopstation or Bizkit too. There's a huge amount of talents in the beatboxing community, who represent the community with brilliant tracks and insane control of their arsenal of sounds.
Cool to see you guys giving these guys a look, but. You've yet to scratch the surface. :P
