@@chosenchild7947 in that story it was revealed that al simmons used to be abusive toward his wife wanda and he even killed their unborn child because he was losing his mind from everything he witnessed during his time in the military so when he died and went to hell he came back with no memories but he had a feeling he needed to be punished for something so in order to atone he kept his body burned and rotten because he felt like a monster so he should look like one too but after talking to god and asking for forgiveness from wanda he was able to return to looking like himself because he no longer felt like a monster so he didn't need to look like one but yeah the story explains it better if you're interested in reading it
