I actually knew 宗谷 long before I saw sora yori mo tooi basho. Back when I was still in school, I saw the TV drama 南極大陸 and that's when I first learnt about it. Last week I saw the ship on google map when I was heading towards 葛西臨海公園 (That's the last scene in やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている, very beautiful place to see sakura too. ). Anyways, so I stop by to see 宗谷 and was not disappointed :D Don't know which city you're from but if you're near Tokyo both are definitely worth checking out (Not so many people like in 新宿御苑, 上野恩賜公園, and 目黒川. I saw more people than sakura this time *sigh*)
