    Just got the TRX4 Blazer, really wasn’t sure what light kit to get. I do now. Thanks for the info.

    Hey man that’s a nice build you’ve got there. I recently installed the pro light kit and rock light set with the wireless setup as well. Same problem front signal lights worked and all that jazz but no change in the rear other than reverse lights. Here after messing around with the wires and module I realized the jumper kit from traxxas that goes in the “f” port was wired wrong. With a little patience and a small pick I was able to back the wires out of the jumper and install them in the proper orientation. Traxxas sent my jumper with both wires for the “f” jumper going from side-to-side ( which from what I seen in your video they did the same to you) and this was the fault. The wires need to go straight up and down on the jumper. After I flipped the wires I now have brake lights whenever you slightly tap the trigger towards reverse and now the turn signals for the rear now function as well. I hope this helps. I was definitely stumped on mine especially after dropping a good bit of green on this pro light kit setup.

      Thanks, I will definitely look into that mod for the jumper on my Pro Scale Light kit. It’s definitely a shame after spending a good amount of money on these light kits these issues happen. Good thing I enjoy modding and fixing things on all of my RCs😁.

      I'm having the same trouble. What jumper cable are you describing? Is it the one you have to use in conjunction with the Bluetooth link in the remote?

      Ok thanks for the info. I had a feeling that was the case. Did you just replace the tail lights or did you have to switch out the entire original light kit?

      Wow, I’m not sure if it is worth it to me to put that much more money into this light kit. I already have spent way too much in upgrades on this rig. It’s a shelf queen that I occasionally take out on trails. I will have to 🤔 think on whether I will get the upgraded light kit, since funds are tight right now. Thanks again for the info, it is much appreciated.

    Extremely nice build. Just got into crawlers at the 1/24th scale after nitro trucks for RC choppers for many years and will be looking to upgrade to 1/10 in the Spring. Would you still go with the TRX4 platform?

    • @beyondthebluerc1
      @beyondthebluerc1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, there are a lot of different brands of crawlers available, but personally the TRX4 is my favorite. The hop up potential is great and there bodies are really detailed for a lexan shell. I bought a Vaterra Ascender for my wife a couple years ago. It’s a good rig, but are discontinued now and there is very little aftermarket support for it. I installed some aluminum bead lock wheels and tires on it and that was all I could find.

      @@beyondthebluerc1 Appreciate your insight. I have three nitro Traxxas and that's a good point, I'll stick with the brand for all the upgrades.

    Can you use this light kit with an aftermarket motor/esc? I am thinking of getting the HW Fusion Pro.

    • @beyondthebluerc1
      @beyondthebluerc1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s meant to be used with stock esc and motor, but probably could be modified to work with an aftermarket set up. You might have to modify the connector going to the esc and the connectors that hook up to the motor wires.

    • @beyondthebluerc1
      @beyondthebluerc1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I looked at the HW Fusion Pro and it is an all in one system. I’m not sure that this light kit would work with the HW Fusion Pro. There is no separate esc to plug into. You could get most of the functions to work except for the brake and reverse lights. You have to plug into an esc and motor for those functions to work properly. Maybe you could splice into the programming wire and that might work, but it is such an enclosed system I think it will be difficult. I was thinking of upgrading my truck to brushless at one point, but I have other rigs that are brushless, so I just don’t see the point. I just got a Traxxas UDR that I made a bunch of modifications to. I definitely can’t wait to get it out for its maiden run🤪.

    Is any soldering needed to do any of the light kit?

    • @beyondthebluerc1
      @beyondthebluerc1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No soldering is needed. It is a plug and play kit. It’s not the most sophisticated light kit out there, but the install is nice and tidy and looks great😃.
