GOD BLESSSS YOUUUUU!!! I crashed my webpage several times for doing it wrong and I've been literally praying, like praying praying for a video like yours here. Finally!!! Thank you sooooooooo much!!!!
I watched at least 10 other videos trying to easily teach how to automatically filter my blog posts in their respective category pages and this just helped so much. All the other videos required coding or additional paid plugins and I am not tech savvy. This was so clear and concise. Thank you!!
“Insane” is where I’ve been as an Elementor rookie. THANK YOU for making this easy and understandable. I’m watching more of your videos to stay out of the funny farm with a laptop broken in two
"... you could literally go insane" 😂😅 So true. I gave up multiple times and never wanted to create a blog using categories again. One year and hundreds of videos later I found you! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hope Elementor will fix it in the future. I subscribed 😊
YES!!! I finally got it! I had even tapped into Elementor Support. They even sent me a custom video but it was missing the "term" piece. I couldn't figure out why their instructions weren't working fo r me until watching this! Thanks so much. Truly appreciated.
Good freakin lord... 3 years later and this still works like a charm. I was going nutty trying to figure it out. Thank you so very much, greatly appreciated.
I am so thankful that I found this video after only 8 hours of madness. OMG, I slept so much better after I found this. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
As a frontend developer, I spent so long testing among those different posts and archive options, and you end up saving my life. Quick and easy, exactly what I need - which one should I use 😂Thanks a lot!
"Insane" is what defines your tutorial. To the point and that's it. You saved me. I was really helpful adn SIMPLE !!!! It's wonderful that you mention how NOT to do it and where are the COMMON mistakes that one need to avoid. Thanks a lot.
BRO SUBSCRIBED! YOU ARE THE SMARTEST Man teaching tutorials .looking for this problemsolution from long time . here one more question in wordpress google webstories category not visible in new created menu ,iwant a cateogry of webs stories when someone click on it each category only that web stories visbile can you give me suggestion what to do?
Thankyou so much man! you won't believe how much frustrated I was. I never like videos that doesn't give right info but you my man is a Star. Thankyou👏
i'm trying to find how to make a single page for blogs that only lists categories, and when you click it, it goes to the category like "exercise" or "stretches" or "meals" which has the relevant blog posts. How do you do that?
After doing this my category page doesn't allow me to add widget sidebar, why? and if I do 3 blocks it will show 3 blocks but with sidebar. I never added siderbar in 3 block posts.
How can I create category archive page in Elementor that shows posts as per the url slug? i.e., I don't have to create 30 different pages for 30 categories but one.
Great Vid man. Quick Q: Do you have to create a different Archive page for every category? Or theres a way to query it so the same template/page/archive works with every category?
yes, you can. Good question. Create an archives page via the theme builder and in the template add a an archive posts (or products) widget. This widget has not many styling options though. This widget is only usefull when have a theme running that supports this widget and that gives you all styling options in the customizer. When you create a menu that includes all categories (the functions as a filter) the archive page of current category will be shown automatically. You can find a tutorial here, with products but the method is the same. th-cam.com/video/7rhLyKvLtrs/w-d-xo.html You can also use posts widget when you set query source to 'current query' and display conditions to "all archives". The posts widget also has way more styling options then the posts archive widget does. I even think you can use the new loop grid / loop carousel widget now since this widget also has the "current query" option. In your loop item template you can add a post info widget and choose terms > categories as meta data. This will show the name of the category of that specific post and when you set it linkable, it will bring you to correct archive page as well.
But can you create a template that is going to be used for all Categories? So lets say we have 1 template for /blog displaying all posts with different categories, and then I want go to any post category like /category/funding or /category/investing and that One Template will be used for these pages and display posts with given category?
THIS! did you manage? Because i tried this and its not working for me.. Posts from other categories are still showing up in other categories😭@louis-borrego
Heyyy! Silly question....do I need to repeat this same process for each category since the display conditions are for that specific category? If so, is there a way to have the title of each archive category page auto-populate with the category name so it's all synced? Thank you so so so much for your amazing videos!
what i want is like, i have arround 50 category (CATEGORIES>SUBCATEGORIES...) in total its 50, i want to make one template for all of them, like instead of choosing like you did choose posdcast, i want to choose a dynamic tag, where that dynamic tag == 'the category slug or name', meaning its dynamic and not fixed in podcasts? is there a way to acheive this!
So you have to create a new archive for each category selection? You can't just create one template that will filter for whatever category the user selected on its own?

Hi tried exactly what you said, after when I clicked view, I saw it was there, but when I went to the front end, there was just a black white page, what am I missing ?
Hi Louis, I thought I had found my fix but I am using categories from WP Download Manager and they are not available when I go to the display conditions at the end of your tutorial, I can pick them in the query OK. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks for the vid - helpful. Any idea how to include the /feed for RSS for a specific category? I have the archive posts set up but lost the ability to go to my categoryname/feed
just came across this video - im trying to learn elementor and there dont seem to be much tutorials that actually convey setting up a workflow to work with the theme builder as a foundation - i thought I found something that this video could have been a part of... but sadly not when i checked your channel.
I am working on a series that works with the Hello Theme that is a core part of the theme building process from a web design/development point of view. What are you asking for? Basically an Elementor fundamentals class. Is that what you're referring to?
@@louis-borrego hi, appreciate your time in responding, I guess yeah maybe something like when and why to use theme builder section of Elementor, benefits of using it, does one just build page by page as one goes along? But this means I may not be using it to it's full capacity for blog archive pages and blog posts, WooCommerce maybe, home and about pages etc etc

You can you just need to know PHP and javascript to override and add to Elementor's current functionality or add a plugin that will do that.
@@louis-borrego Can you talk about the details? Which plugin is good for that?
If that's the case then I don't get why so many people are using Elementor. That's the dumbest functionality I've heard in the past few years.
