I remember you talking about your past experiences there and I think what made it really special in the past was making memories with friends that you had made along the way. Maybe that’s what’s making you feel different this time? I would definitely suggest finding some friends (I know hongdae would be a great place for that) and make new memories together. In my family it's expected and appropriate to give slippers to your guests. I would recommend getting at least one pair of slippers for your future guests so that they won't use yours🫡😉
