When you went to the Mountain Pass a few episodes back (when you looked around initially), everything that was in progress completed.. It gave you a warning about that. Which is why you didn't "complete" the druid's grove quest.
Yep, I got caught out by that. I eventually found Halsin, dead but fully equipped, in the bowels of the Goblin camp... Picked up his body to try and get Withers to resurrect him but no joy so now have a dead druid (in his pants) as a permanent (?) camp ornament!
Great videos. I can't wait until next episode to hear the now traditional three "crap, forgot my shovel", "crap, forgot to sell", and "crap, forgot to prepare my spells". 😂 I've never felt more represented.
yeah. but he actually sold the shovel to the vendor that wanted the egg. like, he is so reluctant to give it the egg which probably has no purpose but to be given to her for money and also she will make sure the egg hatches and grows to be a kind person. but he sells the only shovel in the last 5 episodes

I'm kinda disappointed you could solve the statue puzzle with firebolt. For my playthrough, I found an old book from the previous owners of the temple that the statue is stuck, and to use grease to loosen it
You should have taken Sanctified Stalker for your Favored Enemy. It says you hunt enemies of drudic/holy orders, and with your character's backstory of hunting Shadow Druids, which are enemies of the Emerald Enclave, which you mentioned you had worked with before, it would have made more sense from a roleplaying view. Still enjoying this series though!

The Druid is not bugged out (it's in Act 2) but the responses to the blood of lethander is - if you pull the scepter without the crest in the socket a trap will trigger where the big contraption on the roof will point downward and threaten to blow the hole place up and this is what your companions react to ... strange
The line "Morninglord be praised!" immediately reminded me of "Praise the Sun!" from Dark Souls. Awesome weapon and something I need to watch out for in my own playthrough.
Without getting into spoilers, ive just completed my first campaign ending in what seems a surprising spot lol. Dont forget your choices have an impact in this game. My campaign ended and credits rolled before i even finished act 2.
@ogolthorp 🤣 i respect that! Me and my bro just wanted to treat it like a real dnd session and so literally 1hr before this event occured we made a pact to not reload again to change an outcome. Way to cuck ourselves eh? 😆
It is so interesting to see how different this is for you! I was on the side of the harpers for the ambush at around 1:27:39 - I went to last light first, after coming in from the underdark elevator! So cool
Watching you dye everything but the gloves on Wolf has my brain doing backflips lol. I could never make let’s plays I’d be in the menus for hours! Series rules though.
Interesting, I didn't try firebolt on the statue. I simply went with the logic that when something is stuck it needs to be greased. 😉 Gotta love the many ways to solve things in this game.
For you information, if you finish the quest with tieflings you will have the same dream, but with different content, you simply continue your quest for reaching Moonrise Towers. You can also go through Underdark and Grymforege, it does not matter, you can enter the act 2 and shadow lands through both points, there are new quests and both independent. You could side with Mithara or with Zevlor or none, it is so epic and such freedom.
Im pretty sure the reason it "bugged" is not because it's bug. You went to mountain pass before you dealt with goblins. Im fairly ceratin thats trigger for grove and thieflings.
Wolf, thank you so much for the amazing content! I can truly see the time and effort you put into it. I've been working hard myself and am currently on vacation, and I've noticed you're really putting in extra hours with all these videos. I deeply appreciate it - thanks for working so hard to entertain us. 😊
12:57 lorewise, the blood of lathander is a minor relic in forgotten realms but it is not a mace and should not be here. When long ago Sammaster, one of the Chosen of Mystra, became mad and began to serve Bane, he founded the Cult of the Dragon, a cult dedicated to create dracolich, powerful undead dragons, to conquer the world. Lathander decided to kill him and sent an avatar. At the end of the battle, a few drops of the avatar blood got trapped in amber. The amber gave anyone who held the amber a boost in healing powers and power over sunlight. But it was a talisman, not a mace, and should be in the Dalelands, thousands of kilometers to the east of Baldur’s gate.
@@charlesboots6508it’s a holy relic, enshrined to be revered by an order of Lathander. Holy relics don’t tend to move much since they are used for worship. Unlike a powerful archmage with teleporting abilities who moonlights as an agent for a deity. Furthermore relics aren’t supposed to be modifiable. They are the most powerful magic items in existence along with artefact and no mortal is supposed to know how to make or change one. You would need direct intervention from a god (and probably Lathander himself, otherwise he is likely to intervene)
@@TheLokiel I don´t know about the original, but the story of one this is: (Found in books/tablets in this place.) 1) Stolen by Sharrans. 2) Damaged in a fight. Leaking power. Blessed area around it. 3) "Encased in metal" and had a shrine, then the monastery build around it in a new location. (This place.)
Wow I love it! Actually I either playing myself or watching your let's plays. And I can't stop. This is like watching very good movie endlessly)) It's fantastic! Thank you, Wolf for your videos. 👍❤
Its really awkward that you get dialog about almost blowing up the creche from the Blood of Lathander sq when you dont select the option that could blow it up.
Didn't he head into the mountain pass before turining in the goblin quest? Im sure that and taking a long rest (before the party, why?) Cause things to progress as if you hadnt helped anyone. Hence the warning before heading into the next zone.
Intense episode! I thought the shadow cursed lands would be a small area, but looks like Larian fooled me again! I hope that Larian continues to fool me! LOL!!!
Without spoiling anything big you have to work towards fixing the shadowcurse before you can recruit halsin. He won't join you as a playable/usable companion til afterwards
It's almost my shift and your video is out. Great! I can't play the game cus I'm far from home. All I can do is watch. And I can't hold myself, even if it spoils my own playthrough🤣 Thanks for entertainment!
I think there may have been a way to do the blue jay quest where you take out the winebelly gnolls rather than the eagles. cut off eagle food source and they move on.
In my game, my enchanter wizard has sewn the seeds of doubt in Lae'zel's mind, she is now hunted by Vlaakith for defying her. Just shows you how many different options there are.
I feel like what probably happened after you freed Helsin and went to camp... He was there for some reason and you spoke to him. After that, you returned to the Grove, but everyone was gone. You somehow skipped over seeing Helsin back at the Grove and were therefore unable to invite the Tieflings back to camp for the celebration. So, it is as if you never got credit for helping the refugees. This playthrough is awesome though!
Well after getting the legendary map I went back in and am in the process of cleaning the creche. Figured lae attacked me and I was threatened so figured I would get as many now as I can. Great loot! Will see how this goes.
I played balanced my first playthrough but had about 5 shovels and a dragons horde of food supplies, magical armors for all... But I'm a hoarder. Only things I didn't pick up were bones, rotten fruits and heavy items that weren't worth at least 30-50 gold. I was swimming in gold and salami/wine but end of act 2. 😁 It's really interesting to see how other people play and I absolutely wouldn't want Wolf to remember the shovel or spells.
Could be that when you left the area to check out the next one (a while back), the game checked if you had completed the tiefling/grove quest, which you hadn't, because you still had people to talk to. Then, when you returned and went to the grove, the tieflings were gone, because you had left the area. So now the game and the guardian thinks that you abandoned them.
I'm obviously watching these videos long after you recorded them, but FYI Zevlor and Asharak were dead before you long-rested in Episode 7. You actually read this out from the quest-log at 2:07:40 of that video, but apparently had forgotten who Zevlor was. I'm not sure, but I suspect the problem may have been that you freed Liam. He tells you that he's going to the Grove to warn them they're in danger. I infer that receiving this warning causes the tieflings to leave too early. I don't think the game is bugged out, although it could make it clearer what happened. I suspect you'll catch up with the survivors fairly soon.
Oh wow that mace definitely cleric weapon 100%. awesome design by Larian. Starting to think Githyanki are coolest fantasy race I came across in awhile.
I love astarion so much I can’t stand it xD “fair. Rude but fair” As far as Halsin you gotta sweet talk him to join so think. Idk because I’m not that far lmao
I'm wondering. Did Wolf visit the mountain pass before going back to the druids grove but after killing the goblin leaders? That may have been the cause. Which is why you get the warning about tying up loose ends. Idk just guessing.
I do catch myself thinking, every now and then, "Why did he do this?" and "Why didn't he do that?" Then I remind myself that it took me 80 hours to begin using Guidance, lol. As well as Aid. And so many things, still, I'm not doing properly/smartly, probably. It takes some getting used to, especially when you haven't done much DnD or these kinds of games :D
Hahaha, indeed. I'm enjoying watching this series while at work (night shifts these days): Good way to deal with not being able to play it myself. So thanks! Yours has already gone somewhat differently from my own playthrough, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it unfolds!
1:31:24 Oh wow, they changed Sanctuary (this is definitely OP for a 1st level spell, considering it requires only a bonus action and no concentration). The actual 5e spell doesn't make you untargetable, just harder to hit. It's just really weird to me that they buffed Sanctuary that much, but for some reason didn't implement the Dodge action (I don't think Larian explained why that was not implemented, but I'd really like to know). The only way you could have dealt with it (other than using AOE effects) would have been with Dispel Magic or Counterspell. Anyway, here's the 5e description of Sanctuary: "You ward a creature within range against attack. Until the spell ends, any creature who targets the warded creature with an attack or a harmful spell must first make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature must choose a new target or lose the attack or spell. This spell doesn’t protect the warded creature from area effects, such as the explosion of a fireball. If the warded creature makes an attack or casts a spell that affects an enemy creature, this spell ends" It's a good spell to use on a turn you don't plan on attacking or casting a spell that affects an enemy creature (for example, if you wanna cast healing spells, drink potions, cast buffs, and so on).
You can choose not to fight the eagles. If you take that weapon and the laser beams come up because you didn’t insert the disc. That will scare the eagles off. You can just choose to destroy the laser turrets instead. I solved the puzzle but I decided to just keep the disc you get from the weapon pouch quest. Eagles were gone and the blue jay had moved in.
Episode 6.. you left the area to check out the mountain path.... that killed the tieflings i'm guessing. even though you stopped the ritual, when you left, they assumed you abandoned them and tried to make the journey on their own and got killed by the goblins. I know if you don't stop the ritual, they all die and their bodies are littered about that bridge between the grove and the blighted village
If you kill the lady wanting the egg you get that cat grace armor among some other goodies. I haven't stolen the egg as of yet. But wondering if I can turn it into the society if I do.
I don't think the game is wrong you skipped simply the dialogue with Zevlor after rescued Helsin, it is the time you need to invite tieflign into your camp, if you skipped that, you could not finish the quest and this dream scene is an alternate version of summing it up.
This occurred most certainly because I peaked the mountain pass area back in episode 6 which told the game I was leaving the Tieflings behind. So it's definitely a game error / needs to be updated.
@@WolfheartFPS I don’t think it’s an error as it asked if your are sure you wanted to progress and to tie up loose ends. more just consequences of going ahead

I'm wondering. Did Wolf visit the mountain pass before going back to the druids grove but after killing the goblin leaders? That may have been the cause. Which is why you get the warning about tying up loose ends.
Idk just guessing.
Hmm, I dunno Wolf, most people just apply some grease when a mechanism locks up like that, not a fireball. 😉
Haha well I appreciate you understanding that! Yes it does take some time.
Anyway, here's the 5e description of Sanctuary:
"You ward a creature within range against attack. If the warded creature makes an attack or casts a spell that affects an enemy creature, this spell ends"
It's a good spell to use on a turn you don't plan on attacking or casting a spell that affects an enemy creature (for example, if you wanna cast healing spells, drink potions, cast buffs, and so on).
Yup you are correct
I think selling the egg is doing the child a favor. It’s probably going to have a way batter life away from the gith💀
Halsin can become a full companion, under certain conditions.
9:43-9:44 lol okay but how are you not seeing the crystal right next where all your characters are grouped up and you did see the other one.
@@WolfheartFPSYes, it seems that it is the case, simply leaving an area triggers some quests to an end.
It does warn you to tie up loose ends.
@@WolfheartFPS I don’t think it’s an error as it asked if your are sure you wanted to progress and to tie up loose ends. more just consequences of going ahead
Proof that a Necromancer build doesn't need to raise dead, nor does it need a shovel to be successful in this world.
12:28 that’s a pally/cleric mace baby wow
Workday hero here bud - saving my mental state
Watching your livestream atm. And when that’s done. Gonna watch this one. Omg keep em coming m8. 👍🏻
Appreciate it!
You must have a 4080 Graphics card. Only way to go, F-in beautiful.
Ooh, now I'm curious as to what unique dialogue options might appear for a Half-Drow talking to the Drider.
Bro, this story is badass!! I can't wait to play it on PS5.
Lae'zels story with the gith is awesome. I want to play it right now. lol
It is very well written
@@WolfheartFPS when the early access was out I watched ESO playthrough, I was stoked for this game then. stumbled onto your channel and have been watching your playthrough, I like your RP aspect to your videos. I never thought the story would be this good. personally, I hope the woke stuff stays out of Larian games and they continue to bring solid content and great story telling. Ty for the reply bro.
54:00 i hope you sourced a shovel by now...
