  • In this video I will show you how I replaced the starter rope in a Stihl BG55 handheld blower. I'll take you step by step on this rewind repair that isn't nearly as hard as some may think. #smallenginerepair

Your Knot Technique With The Tail Down and Then Pull The Knot Into the Handle and Pulley Is The Same as Mine 😀 It Has Always Served Me Well Too 😀😊😎👍🏼

I figure if you're gonna charge someone for a repair it might as well look neat. Plus, who wants a burnt rope end tickling their palm?

Back in my day we didn't have no fancy handles! We cut a piece of broom handle and drilled a hole through it for the rope to go through! Heck, we didn't even have rope! We had to pull out strands of our own hair and braid them together till they were strong enough to make a pull cord!
    Nice job

Great job. Surprised someone isn’t selling the atf/act mix. Thought silly but rad fluid mixed with water at full price, but about all you can buy. It sounded kinda congested. Take care.

It may be a bit restricted or it could be that I have to run the audio through a noise reduction filter about 4 times to get rid of the background noise made by those filthy disgusting four stroke techs on the other side of the shop.

No matter how careful I am, anytime I remove the starter pulley I hear that awful sound of the spring unwinding and flying across the room. Well at least I'm good at rewinding them and some of my gear is harder to rewind than others :^)

Those springs can be a challenge. Thanks for watching!
