Socorro is a city in the state of São Paulo. The inhabitants are called Socorrenses.

An old quarry that was deactivated in 1995 has been transformed into the GRUTA DO ANJO, one of the city's main tourist attractions. Inside the rock formation with several tunnels, a lake with such crystal-clear waters was formed that the carp that live there can easily be seen.
There are large galleries, totaling 3,000 m², which can be visited on foot and other sections can be floated on the crystal-clear waters with the pedal boats available on site.
With the pedal boat, it is possible to reach where springs and water infiltrations have created a natural pool that, in some places, reaches 4 meters deep with a constant temperature of 10 degrees.
A large part of the inside of the cave has LED lights that illuminate the environment, ensuring that your photos look good even without any sunlight. The most extreme area of ​​the Gruta do Anjo has no lighting at all. The tip for those who are not afraid of the dark is to stop pedaling and stay there for a few minutes, slowing down your thoughts.
It is not allowed to swim in the water, but the simple fact of being located in the middle of the rock formation, walking through the transparent lake and taking photos on top of the enormous rocks guarantees fun for a weekend.
