This choir is from Mizoram one of many small states in NE India which is 90% Christian mainly Baptist and Presbyterian. Their ancestors were Mongolians who were ""head hunters" and missionaries from America and UK braved the dangers to take the gospel to them. That was just over a century ago and today the people of Mizoram and the other large State of Nagaland proudly practise the Evangelical faith as taught to them. They comprise a number of tribes who speak different dialects but English is taught in schools and widely spoken especially by the younger generation. Their lifestyle is no different to communities in the West and they are generally very talented musically. There are a number of exceptionally good choirs such as Besy, BCM and CKTP and choir singing has become part of their culture. Today they are "heart hunters" for Christ and send their own people to spread the gospel to other Asian countries.
I have listened to this beautiful rendition of the Hymn every day since I found it on TH-cam about a month ago. The passion with which these precious brothers and sisters in Christ sing, has touched my heart very much, even though I do not understand the words. Today I found the words in English and I understand now why the singers are singing with their whole heart and soul. God Bless you all in Jesus' name.
