I had to go to the bank at the post-office to get the 100 , 200 and 500 Euro banknotes , the 5 , 10 , 20 and 50 euro notes are in everybody's wallet for everyday use.
Well it should be mentioned that each denomination represents certain architectural period. 5 - classical 10 - romanesque 20 - gothic 50 - renaissance 100 - baroque and rococo 200 - industrial period, steel and glass 500 - modern age
Sir. You have just inspired me to get a collection of all euro banknotes. I'm a numismatic that collects cheapo banknotes but I will start saving money and get all euro banknotes.
@instruct2008 You're right but what will be the next step , 2 different Euro's , one for the big and powerfull EU countries and one for the weak EU ones ?
If you need cash you go to the post-office and you take money out of your account , but if you want it in large bills , like a 200 or 500 note , you must ask that or else they will give you 50 and 100 notes. All E.U countries , so those that will have their daily payments in Euro's will do this. ( or any local bank in these countries )
I'm in the usa and i have a 50 € note that is leftover from a trip to Italy. I also have 500 danish kroners and some old greek, german, colombian, guatemalan, paraguayan, uruguayan, uae, belgian, canadian, nicaraguan, swiss, argentinian, el salvadorean, brazilian, and iranian money from 1920 to the mid '70s. because my grandfather on my mom's side (i never met either of my grandfathers) worked for the us government and he was sent around the world. idk why there's no money in my collection from panama or morocco, because i heard my mom had been to those countries. maybe they're coins like some i have from peru...
From all the euro bills there are "only"580 million 500 euro notes, which corresponds to 3.8% of all the notes having the 500€ denomination. The fact that you more or less can't spend them anywhere, you can't get them as change as they have the largest face value of the euro notes and ATMs won't do you any good in getting one.
@scorptale You're welcome , but like in any other country , beware of people wanting to change big bills , on the streets or on markets , check details first !
When "Anglo-Saxons" warned a single central bank and currency without a single state would be inherently unstable "they had a point". The euro's troubles spring from "a combination of the stubbornness of the Germanic idea of monetary control and the absence of a clear vision from all the other countries"
Don't worry pals, with all coming to shits, soon you will have many 200s and 500s in your wallet, with new 1000s and 10000s being made after inflation. Or maybe not, I hope...
They were planning 2 euro and 1 euro notes because italy wanted lower denomination notes as well as other countries. I wonder what colour they would have been
Leuke video!
@qpae123 I understand , but we still hope we wont get into a situation where the Goverment is going to print new money , just to give the people the feeling that their money still has some value.
The official currency is ruble. But for travelling we need to get another currency if we want to pay in cash. There is a great amount of banks &exchange agencies here. I'm living in Saint-Petersburg (over 5mln hab.) & half of my city regulary travel to Finland or Estonia (both eurozone). To travel to eurozone russian buy euro cash. Outside euro - USD. Overwhelming majority of credit/debit cards are tied to ruble & USD. So paying with card in Europe is not profitably.
Some peope say thatthe 1 and 2 Euro coins are too heavy in your wallet or pocket , never noticed that , as long as me wallet's heavy , I've got cash...
I live in Sweden and we dont have the euro but it can be used in some stores. I would rather have the euro tho seems easier, and nice to have the same currency when travelling around to close countries.
Maybe Sweden can better wait a while till all the problems with Greece are over , if you get the Euro now you may lose money because of the problems within the EEC.
Mickee92 We are not very happy with the euro, or maybe i should say alot of people who have the Euro as their currency are not very happy with it. Most of us dutch people liked the Gulden way better.
Well Bank of Ireland paid me once...and that was once, but u can see the image of it, Google it, the one with blueish or tenner colour.... so u can have it as well, good luck.
500 aint rare you can buy them from the banks, and they are even free if you order at least 10 of them same counts for those 200 euro bill. btw casino is also a good place were you can exchange your less valuble bills to high valbule bills ;-)
@Bevoin1970 Well , we're even now , in 1886 my great-great granddad gave your great-great-great Uncle one shilling for the steamtrain , so with interest on that , lets see , about 100 euro's now.
you can determine from the serial numbers where your notes originated from. You can simply look them up on google, but the ones you have I will tell you. 5 - Dutch, 10, 100 and 500 - German, 20 - French, 200 - Belgian. You can tell from the first letter of the serial numbers
Well it should be mentioned that each denomination represents certain architectural period.
5 - classical
10 - romanesque
20 - gothic
50 - renaissance
100 - baroque and rococo
200 - industrial period, steel and glass
500 - modern age
You're right , thanks for the info.
***** Money is the game , you're the player.
200 is iron and glass.
Interesting how there's a correlation between value and time period
how much 5 auro
200 is my fav.
Im travelling to europe for the first time and I was looking all over for a video like this! THANK YOU!
Sir. You have just inspired me to get a collection of all euro banknotes. I'm a numismatic that collects cheapo banknotes but I will start saving money and get all euro banknotes.

Love your bids - my wife and I watch them daily!!
Can you show the Europa series of banknotes.
@instruct2008 You're right but what will be the next step , 2 different Euro's , one for the big and powerfull EU countries and one for the weak EU ones ?
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to explain the Euro €
+Christian V. You're welcome , Cheers.
Awesome vid. I'm from New Zealand, and I'd love it if u did a video of the new 5 euro note that came out this year. thanks for the video if u do!
Those are really nice, I like how each note has a different color to it.
If you need cash you go to the post-office and you take money out of your account , but if you want it in large bills , like a 200 or 500 note , you must ask that or else they will give you 50 and 100 notes. Good video. Your voice reminds me of the automated voice in the airbus A320 before touchdown at 5:22
Thanks , hope U had a good flight , Cheers.
😂😂
Great vid. Thanks for taking the time to do it :)

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing this video.
You're right , but all households got their testset of Eurocoins at the end of 2001 so thats what I remembered of the official introduction.
Well I have a question----- which printing companies print euro notes on behalf of Luxembourg, latvia n Lithuania?
@scorptale You're welcome , but like in any other country , beware of people wanting to change big bills , on the streets or on markets , check details first !
Monopoly Money...haha!!!
Like the new camera! Sounds Great too! :)

I holded ones a 500 EURO, somebody gave it to me for change in the Lidl, I work there... Very nice and big note...
Lego12vFan Most of our shops dont accept a 500 or even a 250E bill , you gotta go to your bank to do so , if they still got humans working there....
@@dutchurbanminer this is what I was wondering why even make 500 or 200 euro bill, it isn't Rubel or Peso
@Milad IbrahimThey are removing the 500 euro bill at the end of this year... They realized they don't need it anymore. Highest now will be 200
@@TrigramThunder that's nice and they should also remove 200 bill
500 euro banknote is for buying expensive things
When "Anglo-Saxons" warned a single central bank and currency without a single state would be inherently unstable "they had a point". The euro's troubles spring from "a combination of the stubbornness of the Germanic idea of monetary control and the absence of a clear vision from all the other countries"
Thank you so much for this video on Euro banknotes (€).
@iveco6514 Yip , will we still have ,,good'' Euro's next year ??
Do a one with the new designs :D
Nice explanation!
Euro's arent that old since we only use them from their introduction in 2001.
A genuine certificat with each banknote ?
@topfireman Thats the signature of the President of the ECB ( european Central Bank ) , J.C or Jean Claude Trichet.
Do you just go into a post office and ask for a 500 euro note or what happens?what countries can you do this in

Some of the bills in the states has the security stripe as the 200 n 500 notes

I wish we had the reflective stripe on our bills in the US
Don't worry pals, with all coming to shits, soon you will have many 200s and 500s in your wallet, with new 1000s and 10000s being made after inflation. Or maybe not, I hope...

Overhere too but lots of shops think they're fake so they dont take'm...
@88GTi We call those 500 Euro banknotes ,, drugsmoney '' , nobody will accept them in a normal store.
Calll me 9981261629
where did you get the 200 and 500
Good educational video
@RamblinAround Its a strange and unkown banknote , most people dont know how it looks like and most shopowners wont accept it.
They were planning 2 euro and 1 euro notes because italy wanted lower denomination notes as well as other countries. I wonder what colour they would have been
What country are you from ?
Leuke video!

Cyprus and Malta are in the EU
@qpae123 I understand , but we still hope we wont get into a situation where the Goverment is going to print new money , just to give the people the feeling that their money still has some value.
@73Shakes You're welcome.
You're right , there's more than the eye can see.
Great video!

Where did you get 100€ notes atms dont give more than 50
America has awesome looking coins, but when it comes to bank notes Europe's looks WAAAAY cooler, ours are all green.
Maybe , one day , the US Goverment will order a bit more color on your banknotes...
I thnk normal everyday prices arent too bad here in The Netherlands , only gasoline , diesel and LPG is mucho expensive.
Some peope say thatthe 1 and 2 Euro coins are too heavy in your wallet or pocket , never noticed that , as long as me wallet's heavy , I've got cash...
how does a rare and very old 500 dollars euro has a picture of a modern bridge? (looks like the golden gate bridge)
@snotlip123 Ja , t lijkt veel maar het is zo op !!
@hucks33 Thank you.
@estesoyojajaja Its made of a very strong sort of paper.

nice vid..
If I find the old Guilders , I'll make a vid.
1st series?
Well Bank of Ireland paid me once...and that was once, but u can see the image of it, Google it, the one with blueish or tenner colour.... so u can have it as well, good luck.
@qpae123 Like in WW 2 , banknotes of 1 million !!
hoe komt u aan die 100, 200 en 500 biljetten?
niet bij AH maar bij de ING....
500 aint rare you can buy them from the banks, and they are even free if you order at least 10 of them same counts for those 200 euro bill. btw casino is also a good place were you can exchange your less valuble bills to high valbule bills ;-)
Bills are an American term. As far as I know, I’m from the UK
@snotlip123 Ja , t lijkt veel maar t is zo op !!
I'm in america and i have a 50 €, 500 danish krones and 160 old german marks.
@Bevoin1970 Well , we're even now , in 1886 my great-great granddad gave your great-great-great Uncle one shilling for the steamtrain , so with interest on that , lets see , about 100 euro's now.
Godmorning zemen
U sure U only drink lemonade ??
@snotlip123 het lijkt veel maar het is zo op !!
Maybe we should put Russian tekst on it....
Bijbaantje ??
@piru5150blood Ah , The Casino , well , I always leave without bills , small or big...
I understand that the 500 would be rare, because it actually equals $556.26!
@leevi1234 As long as its legal money....
Muy bueno el vídeo soy argentino
❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏
you can determine from the serial numbers where your notes originated from. You can simply look them up on google, but the ones you have I will tell you. 5 - Dutch, 10, 100 and 500 - German, 20 - French, 200 - Belgian. You can tell from the first letter of the serial numbers
