    Zerg players are best when they have that killer instinct. This has become a great series

    1:34 Artosis going really poetic there!
    That was a very enjoyable games, the turns have been tabled indeed.

    Paralyze got INSANE storms off at the natural, did insane supply blocking, destroyed the NE base, got off good defensive storms at his base... and then still just gets stomped. It's ridiculous how strong hydras are against protoss.

      the mutas won him the game tho. picked off 5 HT

      Also Paralyze forgot to mine the third base's gas. Could've had quite a few extra high templars.

    exactly. Xiaoshuai is premeditated aggression he's comparatively overthinking it. My boy Zelot is just instinctive aggression. Zelot is acting on his adrenal glands.
    Xiaoshuai seems aggressive but because he's on point with his build order and applies pressure early and good micro but you always get the sense that he's more thoughtful than acting on gut impulse.
    I'd like to see a Xiaoshuai vs scan. could be interesting

    Is there any chance you know the names of those studies about progamers playing off instinct while amateurs are stuck thinking? I'm taking a break from writing my master's thesis in philosophy on how people internalize knowledge of (game) worlds to watch your newest cast, and I'd love to cite those studies.

      Not sure about gamers but we learned this in psych class where expert chess players and expert radiologists base their judgments on intuition rather than thinking /analysis. You could probably easily find those articles on google scholar

  • @bigsmall246

    Xiao shuai literally means little handsome (well technically could mean anything actually since there's 4×4=16 possible intonations, and there are multiple possibilities for each intonation. But it's probably what he was thinking about when he wrote the romanized version)
    Anyway I agree that westerners can't pronounce his name properly 😅

    • @visitante-pc5zc
      @visitante-pc5zc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just curious. Since the word differentiation requires oral tonation and the writing has no marking to denote the proper tonation, how does one can possibly understand the real meaning when reading anything

    • @d0k0night
      @d0k0night ปีที่แล้ว

      What's the most correct way to say his name? Probably something like "sheeow chuwa"?

    • @bigsmall246
      @bigsmall246 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@visitante-pc5zc that's why the chinese normally write using Chinese characters. A completely romanized text would be very easy to misinterpret due to the ambiguities. You can only guess so much.

    • @bigsmall246
      @bigsmall246 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@d0k0night it's very difficult to put it in English as English does not have those sounds.
      The closest I can think of is see-ow shu-aye. Except you merge the 2 component sounds into 1 single sound, if that makes sense.

    seems zerg has issues dealing with corsair and dt aspect of toss's game. Maybe some spore colonies so that corsairs can't invalidate detection? gg all around tho

    • @FlymanMS
      @FlymanMS ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m surprised how rarely pros use spore colonies

    • @d0k0night
      @d0k0night ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FlymanMS We see this over and over. They don't want to make spore colonies. It's as if the building doesn't exist. They would rather incur enormous losses than make even one spore.

    • @Ziegfried82
      @Ziegfried82 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When Xiao made that second flock of muta/scourge and beat the corsairs that was the turning point. Paralyze is so strong at corsair/DT/zealot that he really could have just made a few more DT and won that match. Top zerg players just seem to have an allergy to spore colonies but I say when you fight someone like Paralyze who has shown he loves the corsair/DT attacks and is awesome at them it's more than worth it to put a spore in each base. Losing 3 drones is better than losing 10+ overlords..

    • @dpavlic1

    How can Artosis unironically say the game is more instinct that strategy, and that doing the wrong thing is better than the "right" thing if executed better, when 90% of his rage is because his enemies don't do the "right" thing (and he gets steamrolled anyway).
    That might take the cake for the most shamelessly hypocritical statement by a human I've ever heard.
