I’ve been so eager to see this one in particular: I went to this game in the Memphis Coliseum (for some reason they didn’t play in the Pyramid). As Tiger fans about to lose Penny Hardaway, We were SO excited about Deuce Ford: I’m looking forward to seeing where he ended up). But Cedric Henderson ended up being our dude. Thanks for posting these: I just assumed all these guys would be mega stars (Joey Beard!) but the best players ended up being on the margins.
There were several errors in here. There's a pic of Melvin Levett when they're covering Damon Flint, he says regardless twice in a row, and some others. Despite that, these are still cool.
My favorite LSU team to watch with him. I remember Willie Davis an 8th grader guarding him in the state championship for Port Barre high where I went to high school. Livingston fouled out but Newman won. It was a great game. Willie sadly got into alcohol and drugs passed away a few years back at only 40 years old .
This just shows that you can be the best of the best of the best coming out of high school. But your game doesn’t always translate. But give some of these guys a ton of credit. Randy Livingston didn’t live up to his high school type. But he carved out a very solid NBA career and can be one of a handful of guys who said he played in the NBA
I enjoy these. Thanks. But you're starting to get into the "one & done" era and I'm one of those aging boomers who bemoan what's happened to college hoops (not really an NBA guy)and my interest will probably drop although it's always interesting what's happened to these HS phenoms. Nothing against the genre but "aspiring rapper" seems to be a bad indicator for both football and basketball prospects.

Wow I'm shocked Ray Allen wasn't on that team. He was good right away at UConn
I occasionally will see Damon Flint at Woodward High School

It’s the Boston University Terriers. Boston College is known as the Eagles.

Boston University not Boston College

Dontonio Wingfield was like that. Damon Flint was always overrated
