Great software but the subscription model is not for me. If it is all done inside my computer (as you say it is in this case), nothing justifies a subscription.
I brought the lifetime membership in july. It is ok but it is kinda way behind Evoto. No tethering, no slider to clean backdrops, remove fly away hairs, no wrinkle remover from clothes, just to name a few things that it lacks compared to the competition. I cant believe it doesn't have tethering though.
Looks nice, but makes Adobe look cheap (I paid less than $100 for my next year of LrC / LR / Ps by grabbing a deal), £229 for a year is a bit too painful for hobby use! Enjoyable watch, nonetheless, Arthur.
Exactly, in Germany it is 269 € for 1 year, whereas there will probably be offers around 80 € for LrC/Lr/Ps. It's a shame, but as a hobby photographer I'm not prepared to spend that much money.
Sure, but if any company wants to challenge Adobe’s monopoly in the photo editing business, they’re going to have to spend some money to put their name out there. To Arthur’s credit, he’s not really gushing over the product or overselling it. He’s just running through its features, and you can decide for yourself whether they’re effective or useful to you.
Does it have batch editing? Can you drop 100 photos on it, edit one, and then apply it to all? It is like 2x the price of Photoshop… evoto is great too, but it has cost by picture… 😅
I have the old Luminar 4. While I will admit, they have refined many of these features in Aperty, it's basically all the same features as Luminar 4. Luminar 4 does not have a slider for the blemish removal though. It's just a check box. It's reeeeeeally slow when editing lots of photos too. Glad to see that they have refined Luminar to this point. I wish it was more "offline" though.
Subscription-based at 40$ a month? No thanks. This looks awesome and I would totally pay 200$ once to add this to my tools, but this is "plugin functionality" at the cost of a software suite. Nobody needs an other temperature slider. Props to the developers to achieved this though. Impressive.
I want to see more info/testing of the Nose editing tab before I decide on investing in this software. A lot of these features are in Neo, hence why I’m very interested in the nose editing tab (I hate my nose lol)
This does look game-changing. I think that I HAVE to get it. I remember when Julia first announced it, I rolled my eyes "another editing program?!" but WOW. Does it do raw conversion? Input raw, output variations on jpeg? Any color profiles? lens profiles? adjust skin tones? redness removal?

Subscription? That's a shame. Not gonna do that.
I hope there's a big enough rebellion against subscription softwares that it swings back to the other direction
Good luck. @@davido9450
@@davido9450 I hope too, but I think it is inevitable, all companies will go sub plan. Everyone want a stable job with least of work possible.
Continuing updates cost money
So has Jen seen this video yet? If so, how long did she put you in the dog house for?
I doubt she would mind shes freaking gorgeous

a shame you didnt get the lifetime deal for 249 dollars
Nice results, but price is nuts, it should include cloud rendering credits.

Another Skylum software which is likely to be shipped with a lot of bugs and the update coming late or never?

adobe needs to pick it up and add this feature. Im not paying for another subscription
link doesnt work for me
The same thing is doing Portrait pro 25, no AI, no subscription, for a decade!!!!!
The AI is where all the power is.
@@chosenideahandle again, that program did this 10 years ago, with no AI, and is 179 dollars...for life
Impressive!
Have you tried this software on a dark skinned person?

$30/mo, $299/yr ?! Hmmm. Depends on the volume.
What do you think about Evoto? when I read the title of your video I thought you were to talk about Evoto...
Skylum Aperty seems more like a little brother to Evoto.
It is sluggish and have limited portrait tools....definitely not worth it.
€26.95 in month? :D :D :D
Bro ain’t even subscribe to Julia for the bit? Cold game lol
1st - love your work!
got the lifetime license
Subscription model only? No thanks.
Thx you,
Too expensive.
On1 photo raw all the way
I'm so sick of things costing hundreds of dollars a year. Ridiculous. Did you just call a $900 lens a budget lens haha bro
“Budget” in the full frame world is different lol. It’s $760 on sale, roughly 1/3 of the price of the Sony equivalent.
do you even know how much they cost?
27€ a month 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Monthly payments on software is 100% a waste of money
I’ve never seen so many blemishes 😮
What one does for love lol. I had my other half help me for my Aperty video as well.
@@chosenideahandleso fun and so humbling 😂
