2:06 Que Sera Sera. You recorded the band organ spectacularly. Band organs are usually always the best bits of carousels. Wurlitzer and Ruth are the best in my personal opinion and this organ is a replica Wurlitzer 165 made by Johnny Verbeeck of the belgian organ company going by that surname(Verbeeck). The organ manufacturer quantity has obviously diminished over the decades as have many manufacturers of things that were once widespread. Wurlitzer were bought up in the 1980's I think. The band organ lost in the 1994 carousel fire was a real Wurlitzer 165 serial 4292(May 29, 1931 to George W. Long Junior), it was the 23rd of the 24 165's made. 11 of them are alive today. 3 in American Treasure Tour, Oaks Pennsylvania, one in the Glen Echo Park Carousel and another behind glass in Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, one in Circus World Museum in Baraboo Wisconsin, and the other 5 in private residences.
Thank you, we tried to do our best recording with the equipment we had. Thanks for commenting too- you’re very knowledgeable on the subject. Being near one of these while it’s playing is such a different energy- like being in a concert hall. Thank you for finding our video!
