Great work Colin, your my favorite game reviewer sir. You play the game and take time to give info as you go along; so smoothly while keeping it interesting.
An excellent play through as usual. I would love to see more of this game on the channel. destroying that orb felt so satisfying even though it didn't change much and you just removed it from the table.
Thanks for the video series. Vey helpful... I just would ask now if the story is massive as in Middara, or a bit less like in Tainted Grail, or if it's more simple and fast, as in games like Bloodborne (reading in cards only), or if it is like in Order Of Vampire Hunters, which is almost nothing....
Very excited after the play through, backed the current kickstarter. How does this compare to maybe Swords & Sorcery? Would love to see more playthroughs
S&S is significantly more complex, but also has more to offer I think. I like this game for its simplicity and ease to get to the table. S&S you are going to have to invest some time in!
You know I am not sure if there is one! I checked BGG and don't see one. Here is the file section on BGG: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/219217/arena-contest/files
Loved the playthrough, Colin, thanks for that! Arena looks to be really fun and, yes, I too will only play it for the epic quests. How many hours of epic questing do you think there is? Or how many games/scenarios?
Thanks for watching! I am not sure how long the campaign is, I am currently on story 3 with Bairnt, but from what I see it has to be at least 5 scenarios long, likely more? There also is a kickstarter that will start today and I think they plan to have more campaign scenarios as well!
@@ClintK. from what I saw, the combat in Arena seems very simple. I kinda like the combat in Oathsworn I bit more. What do you think? What made you to back Arena?
@@markopavelic4911 the multiple classes were very appealing to me and the quick set up and tear down of the game. I'm really hoping it's easy to play but hard to master kind of style. That way others won't be so intimidated by it. As far as gear goes are there weapons? Shields, flaming swords? Curiouse if you know. I just read the latest update from Oathsworn. Looks like weapons boosting your character ability is going to be a big part of that game which I'm in favor of. In the end im sure I'll probably get both. But dang the price tags.
@@ClintK. with Arena I'm sort of afraid of snowball effect (if you get core you should get this exp. If you have this you should also get the one exp with dungeon walls. Not to mention the stuff from last KS). With Oathsworn it's not really like that. Unfortunately, I do not consider standee version an option 😅 From my point of view, the biggest plus for Oathsworn is fully narrated app. There is a lot of text in both of the games. I kinda think that the battle system in Oathsworn is more interesting and engaging, but the one in Arena seems also lots of fun.
Very cool playthrough.
Thank you!
Great series! I’m starting a campaign today and your playthru was very helpful.
So glad to help! Have loads of fun I'm still waiting on my stuff for 2.0!
I loved to watch all your Arena videos. Congrats
Thanks for watching!!
Unbelievable favorable dice ! wtg!
Gotta love those d20s!

Nice playthrough! Want to see some more
Got you thanks for watching!!
I really enjoyed the playthrough. I'll love to see more of the Epic Campaign.
Got you Santiago thanks for watching!
I felt the same way about the pvo vs coop mode. Loved your video!
Thanks so much for watching!! And thank you for the recommendation even though you didn't know it! Really enjoy your written reviews on bgg. Top notch
@@OneStopCoopShop I'm gonna frame this comment, and put it on my wall! Officially and influencer! 🤓🤑
These were really fun to watch, you convinced me to back the Kickstarter! We have so many great dungeon crawlers now, I love it.
I agree!! Thanks for watching!
Please do more videos on this!
Thanks for the feedback!!
Nice play through and tough choices 👍
Tell me about it!!
If you haven’t done more yet, I’d love to see it!
Thanks Bryan! Currently waiting on the new Kickstarter then planning a full campaign I think. Should be fun! Thanks for watching!!

Tell me about it, taking that Orb down that did 128 damage was the BEST feeling ever haha! Thanks as always for watching Nathan!
Ok, i just lost some money and i have one more game in my collection.
I would love to see more.
Ha I hope it is worth it! The game is super fun! Thanks for watching!!

Thanks for watching! I'd put it at the tainted grail level!
That looked fun. And tense. Even if you don't play more on the channel, I hope you report back on the campaign play.
Will do thanks Wil!!

Could you compare Arena with Oathsworn? If you had option to get only one, what would it be?
I'm still on the fence 😁
Hard to compare haven't played oathsworn but I'd say if you want more complex go oath. If you want lighter but a good story go Arena! Good luck!
In the same boat gah! I did all in on Arena the KS going right now. Still have tell end of March to decide on all in on Oathsworn or not...
