    My unreal has crashed three times whenever I get to step 9:50, it it because I am using long dress? But I have made sure the inner lines are deleted for the simulation mesh and I had tried made another project still the same. Please help😭

      Try and create a new project, and migrate all your assets from the old project to the new one

    Thanks for this. I have pockets, but they are falling, disconnected from the rest. How did you made your front pockets to stay in place? I tried to remove like you've done the internal lines, and both with and without it's not working. I am forced to weight paint to zero where it is supposed to have seams, but this is ugly in the simulation and not accurate. I wish to have like you, all painted as full weight for my pockets, but without them to fall on the ground. Many thanks for your help!

      Kindly export the one with pockets as the render mesh. But yet still if you want the pockets to simulate, then you will have to export with pockets as sim mesh and paint the edges of the pockets black

    Can you help me with this issue: I have a cloth that hangs in the back, with two long strands that are supposed to go with the wind. Why does it look like the weights are affecting it too much? It looks rigged, as if I have uploaded one piece of cloth in character creator and had the bones affect it, doesn't look like a cloth at all...

      for this tutorial, there is no cloth animation just skin weight painting, try and check the one with a metahuman

      You can boost your collision, but that will also be heavy on your machine

    Awesome tuts! Quick question: everything works fine when I'm using idle for animation (or something slow and simple), but any faster movements like running or jumping mess up my cloth simulation. Any advice? Thanks a bunch!

      Yes, slow animations will work fine, but fast animations will kinda mess up, but if you want fast animations to work, then you have to paint every part of the clothes, the only disadvantage is, the clothes won't simulate, but it will move with the character

    I tried importing a shirt, and I am having issues with scaling, placement, and simulation mesh/render mesh. I'll try again tomorrow 😔😔

      Did you use the BP mannequin for modeling your shirt?

      @@hoodiestudios yea, I exported it from Unreal and imported it to marvelous designer, but it imported as a horizontally. So I had to import it to blender and export it out as an fbx again and import it back into marvelous designer for it to stand up straight. But it was super small when it got imported so I had to scale it by 1000%

      Yes, you're right, I got into this same problem when I was working on this tutorial. The best way to solve it is to download the mixamo converter and select the BP mannequin, a folder will pop up, then you will use that fbx in that folder to model your clothes. Check my tutorial on metahuman clothes, you will see how I got the metahuman converter

    Thanks!! It war really helpful. I have an outfit wiith a cape included, however the skin wheight transfer makes it go algo with the feet, how can make it behave like a cape, i already painted weight map to black.

      Paint the cape back into white, just click on the paint node and change the values to white, and paint on the cape. But you have to check the other tutorial with the metahuman, which will show how to make the clothes simulate

    Not simulating for me bro. The cloth moves but is in in t-pose while the animation plays... I'm using a mixamo character though (not the manny one), any idea?

      Hello thanks for this tutorial and for your responding .Not sure what was wrong but it fixed itself a while ago sone how but now my characters pull over jackect doesnt show up on the character when he is in the view port the jacket shows up on the grey view port but not the static mesh view port when I select the add weight map node .

    Bro, i have one issues, can u help pls? When I import the sim file, unreal give a error, saying this file dont have mesh, and I tryid in blender and maya, and they dont import the mesh too, thats only happen with thin option, weld, unweld.. dont metter, if r thin, they dont import, just in fbx export

      Just select only the clothes in the 2d window in marvelous designer, and export it

    Hi, Thanks for the Tut. hope you can help. Firstly when importing from MD which settings do you use because i get the smoothing error. then also when selecting a mesh for skinTransferWeight i get an error that transfer skinning weight failed from source. i dont know if that also affects the skeletal mesh asset in preview because only the garment shows no manikin or mesh. Any advice would be helpful thanks

      It's a chaos cloth simulation, which includes skin weight, we don't have much cloth simulation because there are some nodes we need to finish everything up, which I'm still playing around with , so I will update everything soon .

      I believe that is possible, all you will need is the skeletal mesh and the physics assets for the accurate collisions

      The best way to do it, is to make sure you're modeling your clothes on the bp mannequin, and export as an fbx

      You just have to duplicate your cloth asset and add the cloth you want to use . For now we don't know much on the chaos cloth , so I believe new unreal engine updates will give us more options

    Did you managed to use zipper ? I am testing for 3 days and zipper breaks unreal like stop it all... i managed to use cloths but without much seams and just a few parts...
    Also internal line crashs on mine😢

      Iv never tried out zippers for Chaos Cloth before, but try and update to the latest version to solve the crash

      @@hoodiestudios I’ve tried MD to CC4 and can get a good look. But from what I’m reading. This one looks better. Faster also. Seems like they working to add more features to it later as well.
      Lower mesh for simulation also gives optimization.
      Haven’t tested it out but feel like this method will be good for fixing clipping issues as well with cloth.
      Also instead of simulating cloth on a thick render mesh like I usually would. Simulating on a thin less triangles mesh probably runs better and faster.
      Can’t wait to try this out later when I got time with multiple pieces of clothing

    will this work for a character in real time like if I am live streaming a character with this simulation on clothing will I have to put in a specific animation with which it will simulate or can it work real time with any movement will streaming?

    hi, I followed the tutorial step by step as shown in the video. I have nearly finished developing my game. But as I try building and packaging the project, all the clothes that I added gets disappeared. Have u faced the same issue please help me. I'm almost at my final stages of developing the game and now this new issue bugs me.

      Iv never got into a situation like that, but I believe it might be a bug, why not try updating to the latest version of unreal, if you don't have the latest version

      For the mannequin, I got it from the mixamo converter, check the tutorial on chaos cloth for metahuman, I talked about it in that tutorial

      To make the clothes match exactly onto the unreal mannequin, that's why I got the mannequin from the mixamo converter, so I can cloth it in marvelous and send it into unreal without any problems

    I can’t wait until we have can have more than one item of clothing - it’s kinda useless right now :) also metahumans are v v difficult to use with this new system. The physics assets just don’t work well! :)

      Yes, for the moment, simulation is not accurate 100% for the metahumans, I believe they will improve the chaos cloth in upcoming versions
