It wasn’t festive as it is not a festival. It’s a Lenten rite but in this modern day, it has changed a lot. It was more solemn, more traditional decades before when we were younger. Tourism has both advantages and disadvantages.

Love this video! I spent my summers here with my siblings and cousins, staying in my grandma’s house in Boac , fronting the plaza with the statue of Rizal. Very fond memories of the Moriones, putong, sabug, bibingka ng Boac, putong tinta, etc. Thanks for the memories!😊

3:00- How I love to see that beautiful and century old processional image of Christ in His Agony in the Garden of Getsemani- that was the moment before he was arrested and sentenced to death by Pilate. There were a lot of processions in the Philippines during Holy Week beginning Mostly Holy Monday there were Churches which were hosting Processions already.
