This kid got it. I was holding my judgement to see if he could have another year like last year, and he's better. He's unstoppable. It's no question he's top ten in the game. But I'm starting to wonder how close is he to top 5? Cause he's CLUTCH with all capital letters. And this team is good, with a absolute chance to be special. In a year years, nobody is gonna wanna face this team. Shai is undoubtedly in the MVP race.

I hear you, gotta reserve that judgment for post season. Regular season we’ve seen all kinds of studs through the years. What separates is the playoffs. He could just be Joel Embiid…insane regular season and never lives up to hype in the playoffs. OR we can be witnessing the next great first ballot PG in the west…he has talent now, no more excuses.

@snupedummy i think they're still a relatively young team that needs more time to ripe. they still have years ahead of them, while having millions of first round picks as well that may help them to build the team even better. also, don't forget that they also have josh giddey and jalen williams, who are also relatively talented young players. if they facilitate all of these pieces together, along with their future picks, they have a shot for a championship, or even a dynasty. it's just that, it's still early for them, and there are still teams that are way more experienced and balanced. there is the nuggets, fresh off from a chip, still the best team in the league; the dangerous bucks with the dynamic duo of dame and giannis; and also the celtics that has lots of talents and deep roster.
anyways, what i mean is that anything can happen this year, but all i can say is that i wish for the best to this young okc team. the future is bright indeed.

The amazing thing about Shai is that no matter how he's defended he can not be sped up. He's going to get to his spots and he's going to create enough separation to get a good look and get a high percentage shot off.

Players that can get to their spots and score regardless of the defense are the most dangerous scorers.
he's low key a bullie in a nice sized guard... it's crazy. when you observe his offense, if he's got the same/smaller size defender on him, he WILL take you to the paint, post you up and just get to his bag. it's fascinating and beautiful to watch how he plays. so premium

I have watched almost every OKC game for years. SGA is incredible and he reminds of Clyde “The Glide” Drexler who I loved watching as a kid. The Thunder will be true contenders this season. Take care everyone.

Of all the great offensive guards in the league you want to name since Kobe (Curry, Harden, Westbrook, Luka, Lillard, Booker, Kyrie, etc.), Shai is one of only two that could (and probably will at some point) make an All Defense team; the other being Anthony Edwards maybe, he's younger and not quite as polished at the moment. All of them can make this shot at 4:44 ... none of them other than SGA and maybe Ant could reliably make this stop at 4:56 (guys like Smart and Jrue can but they're nowhere close offensively). That is Jordan-esque two-way play and we haven't had a two-way guard like this in a while (since Kobe probably). And SGA will never be either Jordan or even Kobe, he's not a freak athlete in terms of pure speed and leaping ability, but his game sense, body control, and skill level particularly his handles and mid-range is pretty close. Not to mention his clutch shot-making. He looks good enough to be an MVP and the best player on a championship team someday.

Shai's ability to score the ball is simply amazing. Some of those shots he was hitting in the 4th/OT were amazing considering the difficulty. Deserves to be an all-star again this season. Hopefully OKC makes it to the playoffs this season 🔥
The sky is the limit for this guy. He's such a consistently great scorer and he makes it look easy. In a league where everyone is obsessed with the volatile 3pt shot - Shai is putting together these games dependably, night-in night-out, the way Kobe did.

Losing isn't something a great player should be damaged by. In the nfl it's more of an issue because of all the moving parts but basically every great player becomes a winning player as long as they don't get injured in the nba. Theyre just young. They need experience and continuity. Okc is different because their best player has been on a winning team with veterans so although he's young he has seen how it's done unlike most great players on young teams

He's the warriors best guard defender right now. He did a way better job on shai than klay and cp3. If gp2 was playing he'd be guarding shai.
