Ulver - "Ghost Entry"

- "Ghost Entry," the new single by @ulverofficial, is out now! This marks Ulver's first significant studio track since their 2020 album, Flowers of Evil. The release signifies a deviation from their traditional approach to album creation and release, which they've followed for three decades.
In addition to the main track, this surprise drop from Ulver includes a b-side featuring a remix of "Ghost Entry" by electronic legends Autechre.
The band has hinted at more surprises in the pipeline, but they're keeping their cards close to their chest for now. They've described "Ghost Entry" as a "sign of life" - akin to a journal entry.
What's next for Ulver? Only time will tell… For now, we invite you to dive into the slick haunted groove of "Ghost Entry."

It is crazy how much Ulver changes from year to year and even more crazy how any track from any album is so obviously and uniquely Ulver.
It's ironic how people are saying this sounds the same as their other synthpop stuff because that's what Ulver themselves are literally saying in the song.
"We repeat the same old words"
it's a bit strange, because this musical chameleon has recently been stuck in the world of Depeche Mode and he's very comfortable there :)
They are a beast in this genre
Come to SudAmerica!! ULVER🖤🇨🇱
Beautiful song
more Ulver for the soul.. YES PLEASE ! 🐺
Thank you for all these years of great Music!
Great! I love the dynamics of the track (as usual for them). One of the few bands that still seems to care about making their music sound good even on Hi-Fi systems, without crushing the master and reducing the dynamic range like almost everyone does nowadays.
1:50 beautiful chord progression and groove
ULVER ES GENIAL
✨🎶 pure emotions 🎶✨
I want more! And more! And please visit South Americaaaa, we have wine, avocado, and dictatorships!
New Ulver musics are always welcome! Can't get enough of Garm's voice ❤
Wow this is great! Ulver never fails to bring good music made with passion. I hope we get a new album or EP soon! Keep it up!
Love from Minnesota 😊
So beautiful ❤
Some cold autumn sunsets come to mind, some fleeting nostalgia captured, as always, thanks for the music, and come to Chile sometime

❤❤❤
Great! Old horror!
Good song.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT ! GREAT !! I LOVE THIS SONG!
Is it just me or do vocals sound just a tiny bit louder than everything else?
Yes, maybe the vocals are a bit forward in the mix, but overall, the track sounds very good to me, very dynamic.
the vocals are definitely a bit louder for Ulver standards but honestly in a general context the mix is nothing out of the ordinary for this type of synthpop inspired bop, and ppl keep mentioning a healthy use of dynamics which i can't disagree with; if anything the mix of this track is the very opposite of something like Flowers of Evil which i thought was a very quiet record in comparison to Assassination.
might be The volume, not you
truly speaking. i mix also a bit louder because people listen with fucking iphones.
❤
Does anyone know for sure whether they are going to print it in vinyl disc format?
What the f,,,is this new from ulver?, outstanding,!!
Never heard this band before. TH-cam is improving. I like the vibe and how the AI is not completely overdone like everyone does.
Have fun! Ulver has a.. musically diverse past.
You should listen to their 'The Assassination of Julius Caesar' album of 2017, a masterpiece
The thought of you checking out everything ulver has done is really exciting. Can’t wait for you to hear their first album
Some of their albums are very challenging to get through. Blood Inside is probably their most insane album it took me a while to fully appreciate it
But definitely start with The Assassination of Julius Caesar, Flowers of Evil, Childhood's End (album of obscure songs from the 60s) then go for their Black Metal albums.
aaaah come on, it ends too soon!
this could've kept going for another 6 minutes! :(
Beautiful song, but I was disappointed by the video with AI. I love Ulver
Merry Xmas
Come to Mexico 😘
Yes!! It would be amazing,,
I don´t know if I read too much into the lyrics but is this the Ulver farewell?! Is the next album the last?! I hope not....
my vukovi are back :)
pls bring us your black metal stuff or at least perform live your already written songs!🤘🤘 Great song though
Jan Hammer 🔨 would be impressed 🎹 🌴 ⛱ 🌃
Come to Turkey Ulver
🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Begotten vibes
The video clip yes,the song more Barbie vibes.
@@jondoe4052 Barbulver !
We don’t know Begotten, must check out … “Barbie” seems to wear such thin references. It’s more Technotronic! ;)
Pretty song. But. Another Ulver-styled 80s pop song? They're nice and all, but sad to see once "great innovators" to be stuck in one place.
Not stuck. Enjoying themselves. ;)
Ulver has prooved that can do anything, how and whenever they want. Stop whining.
Ulver doing synthpop is better than anything else they've done, and this is coming from the biggest Ulver fan alive
@@greatcoldemptinessBalls. It's not particularly challenging or inventive music anymore. That fundamentally goes against what Ulver always stood for. They've stopped exploring. It's business now, not soul searching.
Comparing this to the William Blake record, or Perdition? You're truly off your head if you think these recent years have been as inspired. You have every right to prefer their new direction of course, but it's objectively not even close to being as varied and experimental as their work from 15-20 years ago.
@@AdAstra78 Who cares if it isn't challenging? Not ever song has to reinvent the wheel. You're an idiot if you think that you can't "soul-search" while writing non experimental shit.
It's people like you that make me resent writing music in the genre I'm in.
