Two nontraditional laid-back Mormon missionaries struggle to overcome paying their electric bill before their missionary president arrives to inspect their apartment later that night.
The sad part of this film is there is way better material to use for a film from actual missionary accounts of their crazy missions. Missionaries get shot at, kidnapped, assaulted, witness murder, see drug wars, get chased by gangs and get sexually propositioned. And that's just scratching the surface.
And it is very clear these supposed missionaries are breaking all the rules and should be sent home. Yeah. Based on the comments, it looks like they might be getting away with all their shit.
This doesnt reflect any aspect of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Im struggling to understand what is meant by this video? Is it to represent the complete antithesis to the faith (ie twilight zone or supermans bizarro)? I guess im left confused. There is so much good found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. People find healing, improved human relationships, connection with the divine etc by application of gospel principles in their lives such as repentance and faith in Christ and development of charity (pure love). This video unfortunately seems to communicate that our missionaries or at least some of them are dishonest, immoral, dont love God, are salesman, etc. Most of the missionaries i have found are genuinely good young people who believe in what they are teaching and are leading others to faith in Christ and his teachings. This video is clearly slapstick comedy and doesnt represent those members who truly seek to live the faith. Now, no one is perfect. And yes, the membership includes a wide spectrum that includes strict adherents of any side of the economic spectrum vs addicts and those struggling to live its principles. All are invited in to the faith to make their lives better and find true happiness as they seek to become followers of Jesus Christ.
First of all Mormons don't drink, don't stay up late at night, don't read inappropriate books or comics, don't accept money from others, don't smoke, don't play golf at the river side and broke someone's windows, and don't CURSE
JUNGKOOKIES WIFUE That’s the point. They’re BAD Mormons. As in “not good” Mormons. They aren’t supposed to be real Mormons. That wouldn’t make a good story, would it?
This is a disgrace, there is no low key HUMOR. Those who say they are active members and find it amusing need, to remember this at a their Temple recommend interview. I am a convert to the Church, for 59 years. This attitude is not condoned by the Church or a mission President. These missionaries would have been sent home. This is disgusting. I find hard to believe that active members of the Church would find this funny, amusing or hilarious.
Totalmente falso.
This short film is funny :) however it is very disrespect to the church of jesus christ of latter day saints :( . I would like ppl to know that those aren't real lds missionaries
Make fun of those who sacrifice their hard earned money and 2 years of their lives to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.... U must have a pretty low self esteem- bless your heart
WHAT THE........ How did they pass the training area and became missionaries if they acted like this, there's no missionary who will pass the training as such behavior, how can the mission president don't know this
They changed. They're people and people change. It's not a documentary, or a training film...it's a story. You need to suspend disbelief when watching a film. Welcome to the world.
@@urielsaucedo4191 You asked if I had served a mission. I was never Mormon. I'm just a fan of the work, and happen to resemble President Jarvis. A lot. The comments that say this isn't reality are ridiculous. It's obviously not a documentary about real people. They're actors in a film. They're a contrast to what is normal for Mormon missionaries. It's storytelling. You don't have to like it, agree with it, or approve of it. It's still storytelling. Stories are a big part of being human. In this case, it's meant to be entertaining to some. If it is not entertaining to somebody, they can scroll past. It's the internet. Getting upset at a short comedy film that pokes fun at a religion is a choice. Do these same people think Star Wars is real? Spiderman? The Hunchback of Notre Dame?
Of course it's fake! It's a narrative short film. Do you think Transformers are real? But honestly, in an early draft of the film, their president that checks in on them at the end refers to their hair saying "Get a haircut" or something along those lines.
Really? I thought this was a documentary. Thanks, Jennelyn. What are your thoughts on Harry Potter, or Spiderman or Star Wars or any other work of fiction?
As a Mormon myself: THIS WAS HILARIOUS 😂
My new saying is "Clean up faster than a Mormon getting visited by the stake president".
This was really good! I hope you. have lots of success.
I’m an active Mormon and this is low-key pretty hilarious 😂
Glad you liked it!
this is my favourite movie
This was a great lesson in why mormon missionaries always come in 2's those guys would be dead otherwise XD
This is a joke ... hope you get the best prize for doing this video!

These comments are hilarious.
What’s the song during the door to door montage?
That was an original song created for this project by Voss Rollins. He recreated the beat from Low Rider by ZZ Top.
Jackson Begley Low Rider was by WAR, not ZZ Top.
That song was the best thing about this video

In this film they are Mormons. It's a film, a story, make-believe.
So sad I thought all Norman missionaries were. GOOD GUYS.
Mormons are good guys
I’ve never heard of Norman missionaries

I’m not gonna vouch for members because after the mission it’s a different story but during the mission it’s not
