This was a great show.....to see all those amazing musician on stage at one time....i cant get enough of Peter...listening to them together...was like 2 tuning forks effecting each other...
Hope Sting does one of Gabriel's hits, and vice versa. Sting does "In Your Eyes" and Gabriel does "Don't Stand So Close to Me", or something like that.

Sting, the guy who Apha-male'd the rights to all of the Police songs from the other two. Look it up. And when a GUITAR sample from "Every Breath You Take" was used on P-shitty's song, Sting got crazy royalty money, though nothing that he himself wrote or performed was in that sample. It was nothing other than the guitar part written and performed by Andy Summers. Nice work, Sting.

ugh....to miss this concert pains me to no end...it was last night locally and I was not there
Some may not accept it, but I love this and it's a wonderful decision the two of them have made to work together. I love them both and I don't quite know what to expect when my two biggest heroes collaborate oh wow! Sting is a God and Gabriel is a God musically, but what intrigues me most is that neither are egomaniacs without a sense of humor and also that both are true artists. I love Peter Gabriel and this is funny because I can put him and Sting together in my mind and I just found out about their collaboration right now. I think both look older sure, but it will not deter them. Now I know that Genesis will never reform again and sad as that is I believe it was the right choice in the end. For years I couldn't swallow it kept hoping one day they'd patch it all up again, but with personal issues that big it would never have happened. So don't complain that Gabriel and Genesis should be going on tour instead, because that will never and could never happen. Rock Paper Scissors is a lot wiser.

Two bad I can't be my current age in 1988, when these two were in their prime. So I could really enjoy it.
It is interesting, but as Sting has said, after all that brainstorming, what if they do something new, something different from covers of each other.... They have musicians, they have tools, they have creativity to do the best that they can.... I hope that some new songs could come out from these two geniuses

I miss when talent was a requirement to be a famous musician.
If you consider both of these performers were at their "famous musician" peak in the '80s, that's not really true. For example, Madonna was bigger than either of them in the '80s and she was never a great singer or even a musician. And don't forget it was also the decade when Stock Aitken Waterman took over the charts.
@@MALONEYCAMFIELD It's just another stereotypical old-guy statement. They all do it. They've always done it. In the future, they will do it again. The only "real" music, is the music of their youth. Also, apparently no frivolous garbage pop ever existed during the time of their real music, that seems to only happen in current music, right? lol! Their parents said the same thing to them, just as their parents did before them. Just go to any music on TH-cam which is older than 20 years, and it's the same tired comments over and over again: "This is when musicians could actually play!", "Everything today sounds like the same crap", "This is when you had to have talent", ect. ect. ect. There was garbage then, there is garbage now, and there most certainly will be garbage in the future. What's truly odd though, is how anyone can see that it's the same story, over and over again, YET, people like these seem allergic to the easiest/simplest type of wisdom you can absorb passively....history.

@@Bhatt_Hole Probably true, objectively speaking. But I do think you have to look a little harder today, than back then. Also you have stuff like auto tune, that have had an “interesting” effect on a lot of modern music.
But then again, I am reaching an age where I am slowly turning into an old geezer. So maybe that is just it 😄. I am from 1980, and doesn’t like most pop music made made from the middle of the 90’s onwards.

For me, two musicians of respect. I think that, when one shares some with other musician, both get influence, one from each other, cause one know another style, and takes some of it. It's like a kind of retro-feedback... ( I see it on this way, maybe wrong, but you maybe right....)
