Fellas I finally found a part that Tormach did not stock- a 3mm dowel pin for the 5C collet insert, (they did point me where to obtain) they have always had everything else in stock when I needed it if that is no enough reason to buy Tormach then their commitment to improving path pilot or instructional videos should do it. I am not associated with them in anyway...just saying.

Thanks for the compliments! Our software team is very committed to updating PathPilot, and listening to all the suggestions for improvement. Jason is also very excited to share his knowledge, and machine new parts.

I can't believe that chuck held on to the workpiece (by what looks like an inch) throughout the machining process. There is no way in hell I would have done that on a manual lathe -much less a CNC. Kudos to you Jason for pulling it off.

Pathpilot is great. Nice Video. Is there anyway to reverse the direction of cut? (Cut toward the tailstock, not toward the spindle) The profile tab has a part gouge error if tool will contact the material. (the red line) but assuming you already cut clearance in your stock and want to use a left hand cutting tool... how do you do this?

That is a very usefull addition to the conversational programming interface. Can this also work on rapidturn? Thanks, Kieran.

Yes, the profiling feature should work exactly the same on the RapidTurn.

@@tormachinc I'm working on a part that is a sphere on the end of a rod, using rapidturn. I would like to use a left hand cutting tool and cut toward the tailstock but the profiling wont allow it because of the gouge error, but I already have cut clearance for the tool. Can I override the gouge error? and post anyway? BTW, the profiling tab is great.
