Best alarms about I did have a issue with mine few years ago sent them off and they sent the one alarms bak with same issue sent it bak off and because I had to borrow alarms for my session they give all 3 alarms and receiver a over haul and sent them back with no bill to pay as a apology the after sales are top notch keep up the good work delkim

I am using my standard plus delkims for more than 20y. Their reliability, sound, sensitivity are so impresive. Excelent alarms overall. The only downside is that sometimes, especially when using thinner lines, the drop back bites are not signalled. I don,t know why this happens, maybe it has something to do with the vibration sensing system because with roller whhel alarms this is not happening. I understand this problem persists even for the delks new models.
If you are not picking up drop backs then suggest turning the sensitivity up. A drop back is only as good as the weight you have to take up the slack. The other reason might be your alarm has lost sensitivity over time and the sensor may need replacing.
When fishing on a wooden jettie i can,t use a very high sesitivity setting because the alarms will signal every step that i take on the jettie. Nevertheless, i suggest you make a test with a 0.2mm thick line and try to replicate several times a very very slow drop back bite. If it signals correctly then your alarms are perfect !😊
I have my Delkims for 12 years now and there is No issue they work perfectly I would never buy any other bitealarm than Delkim!
Always wanted a set but will never able to afford them.
would you make a set without speakers on the alarm and reduce the height of alarm to maybe att size and have a receiver to make sound? as i lke the delks but too tall for my set up?
and possibly makiing clear cases or see through coloured cases so people could mod their alarms?
I’ve been toying with the idea of a set of fox MXs with the receiver…. Hadn’t realised Delkims are British! What would be the equivalent to those experts out there? I’m after 3X with volume and tone control with a receiver?
I love delkim but I like the other design where you had button dial for sensitive tone and volume... but delkim are reliable most definitely.
@@russellkirkbride3373 we still have a dial for sensitivity and volume we only removed the tone dial as that is something you very rarely change 👍🏻

But they cant / wont entertain a problem with one of my mk1 alarm's

@@waynewigger9904 we stopped making the mk1 alarms in 2003. So your switching brands because we are unable to repair an item that is over 22 years old? Try getting Fox to repair something over 2 years old and you’ll see.
@@DelkimLtd what's age got to do with anything 60 year old classic car a write off because of its age I doubt it
@@waynewigger9904 but it wouldn’t be fixed by the manufacturer though would it? There are garages that fix classic cars.
