Very poor level of skating. do something with the sound already. The chatter of the commentators, which is not interesting to everyone, is clearly audible, and sometimes the music is not audible at all.
How is the skating poor? There were more clean skates than at any of the other JGP stages and the scores were so close that skaters below 10th place were still in range of the podium. This was by far the deepest field and strongest event of this year
Почему все время кореянкам и японкам дают первые места ?Чем они лучше ?Почему не дают другим странам первые места ?Чем эта кореянка лучше ?Мне не понятно,
The Canadian commentator here misattributes strong ballet training as "born with it" and other references to learned skills as "talent", when in fact the great Canadian coach of world and olympic champions OBVIOUSLY recognizes the value of their ballet training, as do their choreographers. (movements like the "i love the little hop, for example was jete' en attitude, as the choreographer very well knew and added to musicality. There are SO many irritation occurring when a narrator persists in unfamiliarity with what most skaters and choreographers know) Some language used by our Scottish commentator, is specific to ballet training, and, though he demurs in favor of the other, the issue of which i here speak remains worthy of emphasis in skating of the last 60 years. (I DO love what BOTH together bring to not only developmental skating, but to the sport and art altogether!) Skating as competition really demands that background for inculcating the JOY of performing. The high jump finishes in arabesque , the exquisite awareness of the body in space, the connection of arm and hand gestures with the entire body, the MUSICALITY, the "posture" continually referred to as if it were separate from excellent ballet training, appear NOT to be achievable without it. Observing the skaters any person intimate with ballet immediately recognizes those who do versus those who do not. I watch, also interested in a skater or two from another tradition, who gains some relevant skills from those other cultural physical arts, but the musicality and precision is less connected to the music. After having observed the skaters at the top levels for some time, it is CLEAR that that separate ballet training INCLUDING performance onstage makes a profound difference in a skater's ability to step on the ice and take joy in presentation, in doing her best , to SHARE the beauty and music with the audience, rather than approaching a competition with trepidation. This CANNOT be emphasized enough. And, finally, holding the character of the choreography, of the presentation THROUGH the exit from the ice has considerable importance in affecting judgment, INCLUDING within oneself. This WILL assist a young performer in reducing the distress, should the performance not be felt by the performer to be to her desired standard. The very physical action of displaying depression renders an individual more distressed and depressed than it does one who maintains her spirit of giving her best.
