As a Native Idahoan, I love mule deer!!! And have over the years watched countless videos with no coment, but tah’day lol.. this one gets the first ever in my TH-cam history lol. (1) I’m very ethical, I don’t shoot what I cannot hit cleanly, SO excellent shot!! My Gosh, people get your note books out and take notes on “Dropping mule deer for dummy’s” and (2) I’m a fan of height! Width is okay sorta important to me but nothing will shake the butterflies or tap the anxiety buttons like a Muley with a kings crown a mile high!!! Thank you for posting. God Bless.
Legit comment below about you guys. I watch way too many high end back country hunting videos and while they are amazing you guys bring an authenticity to your stuff that is inspiring. Congratulations.
Well done I took a few mulys and black bear with the 6.5 prc but ended up going to the 300 prc and 212s as my main gun , my main thing is elk and mountain goat in grizzly County
Many bonded/monolithic bullet users claim that shoulder/high shoulder shots like this one, made with match bullets, result in a lack of penetration and a lot of lost meat. What was your experience here? Cheers!
I did loose meat, but that's a given with where it was hit. Any other bullet would have likely lost the same amount. In my experience, when you hit bone your going to loose some meat

Thank you for your comment Mr mr. I was very happy with this buck and it was a great ending to our hunt.
Nice shot! Congrats! I would use a hunting ammo though.
