1:35:00 India was at the center of a huge maritime network. Thats how 5th century Bodhi Dharma from Kanchipuram went to China & spread Zen Buddhism there. Cholas controlled the entire Bay of Bengal rim. They sacked Sri Vijaya kingdom of Indonesia using their naval ships launched from Tamil Nadu. "white man discovered the world" is all BS. its just that most of western europe were disconnected to the world. India, middle east, east/south-east asia were all very well connected.

I had a curious experience around five or six years ago at a secluded beach in Pondicherry. I was there with a white-skinned woman, and we noticed that there were small groups of Indians nearby, just enjoying the beach. Then the Pondicherry police showed up, wearing those distinctive red French military caps, and started chasing away all the Indians. Interestingly, they completely ignored us, just saying 'bonjour, bonjour' and nothing else. This happened in the 21st century. How do you think such colonial remnants and behaviors still persist in modern-day India, especially in places like Pondicherry, and what impact does it have on both locals and tourists?

    Hello sir,
Today I want to really thank you for something, today in upsc prelims 2024, two questions directly came from #AskAbhijit session , I was watching your videos from the start, i was keenly listening to every word you said and so curious about your session, the way you answer is crisp and crystal clear, by listening to your videos i gain more knowledge than any of the textbook i read. So every night before i sleep i try to watch one video of your session, it's so interesting.
I'll tell the questions: one was about a country of declining population , in options there was Italy, had i not listened to your video where you described about Italy i wouldn't be even have a slightest clue to mark the option, the other question was about upanishads and puranas, and I've heard about that too in your videos, so 2 right answers.. and yes I hope you read this comment, i want you to know you're grooming next generation.. Thank you sir❤️

1:31:39 I can relate to this. I am staying in Singapore for last 3 years now. When I arrived, I dedicatedly studied SG history and how LKY changed the fate of Singaporean. One of his effective means was harsh punishment, still they do have canning as one of the punishment for creating nuisance. Even if you go to Little India area, people are really very disciplined. You do find one or two exceptions but those are also get straightened up over very short period of time.

#AskAbhijit Did you see thr latest diplomacy ranking by the lowy institute of austrailia? It kept india below brazil, turkey and so on. The reason for this is that we have very less staff in various high commission and consulates across oyr missions. We employ a meager 850 ppl where countries like usa and china are employing 20000 and 8000 respectively. For our big aims, we need more staff. In your opinion, how many?? Also, how can we increase this small number?? The govt has promissed a vacancy of 200 over the next 5 years (a trivial number again).

I believe the petro dollar in the past played a vital role . It was financially a significantly stabilizing force. It was for lack of a proper word essential to the development of global trade order. It played a technological enhancing role in the different phases of industrial capacity and transition. The result of the transition or the speeding up of such changes also led to its demise. I also think any other country having been granted this financial privilege would behaved similarly to one extent or the other.

1:55:55 As said by AC, the language to unite our country is Sanskrit because all the Southern languages have come from Sanskrit, just like Hindi. And the roots and connections to Sanskrit is still quite evident in the Southern languages and there are no straight forward or as many connections between Hindi and the Southern languages. So, learning Sanskrit will be much easier for us from the South of India than learning Hindi. And more importantly Sanskrit will connect us to our civilizational past which Hindi cannot do.

Abhijit sir my theory is that when you reach to that great level that superlative level you become weak militarily. You worry about minute issues in the society than something as important as defence and strength. Every emplire falls like that. Look at what is happening in the US right about now. I feel every civilization fell like that. Best historical example we have for this is the greek or roman civilization.

For example the Nuclear Experimentation, Development of Weapons and everything that the "West" would oppose to. I think modi ji will become president before the end of this term. Coalition government is weak, can't make big decision. But I have heard Sri Rajeev Malhotra ji saying in a podcast that " Indian constitution gives a lot of authority to president which is not used. A PM can become president and shift power from PM seat to president seat for that particular term". Please tell us what are the authorities given to president on our current kachda constitution. And all thess words of Sri Rajeev Malhotra ji are perfectly alligning with our current scenario. In our current coalition government we have a someone who is a camilion from Bihar and Someone from Andra who will not even think twice to backstab modi for his own selfish interest. So, I want modi ji to become president and yogi ji to become PM, and I wish to see an powershift from PM seat to president seat for this term. So we can have a government that is as powerful and stable as modi 2.0 government. And I also want yogi ji to become PM in 2029. Please tell us your views on this matter.
