A lovely town with celebrities but then the UK is not so very big and celebrities probably live in all of the small towns or near them❣ The Abbey is so so beautiful. Hi ! Very civilised looking town. Handsome architecture, I liked the oversized flying buttresses on the front of the Abbey. Winter doesn’t seem to have bitten hard yet and I am surprised by the amount of activity taking place, so many shops open! Lovely video, cheers Don ;-)
A once great abbey partially destroyed by Henry VIII when the nave was demolished. The buttresses were put In to support the tower. The building has virtually no foundations

@@CarolandDerek I believe they are about 6 inches deep and the building is built on marshland which still floods. The north transept fell down and was rebuilt hence different style. It was once at least as big as Tewkesbury and was an outpost for Westminster Abbey

It was a bit buzzing, but I think it will all change today😷!!! Spent Christmas in Swanage, no snow, but cold 🥶

Don't like it at all. Traffic, traffic and more traffic. Is it possible to find a quiet corner away from the traffic?
The short answer is no. It is sad but nothing stays the same, but we try not to film the cars, rubbish bins and for sale signs 🤔😉😱
