I love this song ever since iheard it in fairways were i worked in inverness years ago i went to vi torian market and ordered if his voice as i described it as a cat sbe k ew who i was descrbing straight away but hes lovely but i got it its called round and round my favorite is derry on the foyle.
I can not wait for County Derry and the other five County's to be returned to the Country they belong,Ireland. And i hope and pray that we will bring out Protestant brothers with us! God bless the people of Ireland may you be of the Protestant faith or Catholic faith or any other faith,and those of no faith also. 'Lovely Derry'.......this lovely and ancient city was founded by Columba in the year 546.....there are two churches that bear his name...St Columbs Church of Ireland and St Columba's Roman Catholic Church of the Long Tower.
Reminds me of my Aunt Nan McKinney who was born and lived all her life in 'Lovely Derry'. She sang this song with such pride.

Derry GAA football team got disbanded a while ago in Ireland and possibly was replaced by Kerry GAA from The Bronx
