The Polly Brown song " do you believe in love at first sight "was later covered by Dionne Warwick in 1977 it failed to chart . Of course, Hazell Dean here at only 19 yrs old would persevere to eventually have big hits in the 80s with a different style altogether.
Incredible to think thatr Brotherhood of Man won this contest by a mere two votes, with Co-Co in second place with "Wake Up." It's also sad to see Frank Ifield coming 12th and last. He toiled manfully with a decidedly average song. Tony Christie, too, sang well, but the song wasn't strong enough. He came third. I rather liked Tammy Jones singing "Love's a Carousel" (sixth). The right song won, of course, and became a Eurovision classic.
Coco, Annie Jones and Tony Christie were also brilliant but this victory belonged to Brotherhood of Man. I do love Maria by Sunshine too but they butchered the performance haha 🙂
Anyone spot an early appearance by Cheryl Baker, who had another shot it with Co-Co in 1978 , and then won it in 1981 with Bucks Fizz

Love the Tony Christie song and Coco
So, Tony Christie was there too! What a surprise :))
Do you have the rest of this video with the regional voting?
Flip Hazel Dean had a go this year and was it 1984/85 too?
Does anyone have the voting for the 76 song for Europe?

this was the same venue that hosted the 1968 esc :)
The Queen should have represent United Kingdom in Eurovision SongContest.
