- what’s going on guys another 2k caddy video but not min this time or a build series, just a friends van we need to colour code the front bumper that is texture plastic and also the door side mouldings.

New sub here! You did a great job, attention to detail and prep the proper way is on point! So many poor paint jobs I’ve seen where they cut corners on the prep, u even re applying the tape after sanding the mouldings show your experience and attention to detail which is what as customer we should get!

Hey Karl thank you mate always appreciated 👍 I asked the customer what he wanted painting and what bits to leave and I was happy with what he chose. I think it’s just cost cutting from Vw why they leave some bits unpainted.

Do you get customers wanting ALL the plastics for the mirrors (i.e. the mirror edging trim and the stantion cover plate and mirror arm ... you know what I mean... I hope 😅) and what do you reckon on the look compared to the two-tone? Great channel, by the way, just recently found you - you explain things as they should - no pointless BS 👍. I just fitted LED headlight bulbs and was out testing them, makes a big difference on country back roads, I can see now and make a difference after my remap Bhp 193 with 4 bhp lost on rolling road with slippage as wet and damp out .. Keep the videos coming love them 👍

It does like good in the white. Takes more regular washing to keep it looking clean though. The mouldings are very time consuming for their size aren’t they. They dont pop off easily to paint off the van then?
Hey B-RY that’s a good point about removing them I was Ment to mention that in the end of the video. They are stuck on all the way and when I done my caddy I removed them and it took me hours to remove the old sticky then a good while to put fresh double tape on.
Does the the candy white still require gloss spray afterwards ? Sorry never sprayed before just curious. Great channel mate

Another great video man! If anyone can help me out with a suggestion on where I can find some rail covers that would be amazing. I have a MK 4 2017 long wheel base (maxi)caddy with left and right hand sliding doors. Don’t know if anyone makes covers for these. Cheers. 👍

Petes TT is still running great he’s done a few small other jobs and the end of this video was today so I saw him earlier. He wants to do a load of suspension bits soon and he’s got a massive dent in his door so I said I’d that. Maybe can make a video out of it 👍

Hi bud I am only have 2 kids so they sit in the outside seats and havnt fitted a belt in the middle one I just remove the seat for mot, I have seen people just fitting lap belts and they are very basic so just type “van lap belt” on eBay and they should come up 👍

Hey Hayden thank you mate appreciate that 👍 full repaint same colour is around £1500 - £2k depending on bodywork condition. Colour change is another grand on top is double the effort to do all the shuts.

Hi Dave thank you 👍 so is your touran bumper a coloured bumper and not textured. Maybe around £600 for the lot.

@@vw_beetle_dave hey bud so the Touran mirrors are an in depth job and really time consuming. By the time I’ve spent time on them the painted and posted both ways it might cost abit, probably more cost effective to get the caddy life mirrors.
Looks pukka Nathan, was it hard to find the same candy white, mine is paint code LB9A but there lots of different shades of LB9A just to be awkward, Also did u get to see the door step trims for the rear seats ?
Hey bud thank you appreciate that 👍, my friend in the big workshop just down from mine made the paint and he said what shade do you want I said number 1 and that was it straight out the gun. Yep same paint code. Yes I saw the doorstep panel and it needs a little bit of fettling but it looked good.
