The reason why is because there are a tea, Rex mark on their head, so the npcs still take damage the more far away, you go the more damage they take

CKev the T Rex Transformation has a passive when you deal damage in the transformation a T Rex symbol goes Over their head and the farther you are the more damage it does kinda like poison damage

cKev it doesn't do poison damage uhh.... Well it kinda does but it's a prey bar when you attack him he can't run away from you if he is far away from you it does tick damage so if your fighting a T-Rex fruit user you can't run away cuz you have a prey bar the only way you could beat it is to fight no running away it means when you knock him away you take more damage

T rex skills are almost the same as the kitsune fruit but mixed with venom

This was a true "i will eat you" moment
It isn't poison damage. Its the predator mark. The further you are from the person with the predator mark (as the t rex user) the more damage it does. Its a bit like poison damage but better.
