Dorota Vicianová the venue was terrible choice (barclays center) the people spoke over the actual concert, julian couldn't remember the lyrics, it just felt half assed. im still not crossing them off my bucket list tho bc im hoping to catch them during a festival where i can see them closer and where they'll hopefully put more energy into it
Damn Haven't heard this song since last year when i had bad depression Now i'm emotionally stable and love being happy but this song hits you man such an incredible performance Love the new album btw
@Scort well sorry to break it to you it was julian with the guidance of his guitar teacher jp bowerstock about certain guitar skills to pull off on the solos
part of me thinks they based rodrick's look off julian from this time, with loaded diaper's music potentially being influenced by the strokes' garage rock aesthetic at the time
That was you upon the mountain All alone and all surrounded Walking on the ground you're breaking Laughing at the life you're wasting One, two, a jive won't do it You do it on your left, and you'll never get through it Everything you'll have to see Dinner isn't just one day Good try, we don't like it Good try, we won't take that shit Oh, I can't win Things in bars that people do And no one wants to talk to you Feeling can be quite a breeze You told me that these girls were easy Happy that you said you know me Felt unlucky when you found me Some of us come up empy handed Yes, I'll take it Wait now, by the sidewalk Hold on, yes I'll be right back Oh, I can't win Yeah, I wait for something Cool it, we won't take that shit Good try, we don't like it Oh, yes I'll be right back
I Honestly find it so impressive that 1. The strokes sound every bit as good live as they do in the studio 2. They have such a consistently high standard of live performance. I seriously don't think I Have seen one clip of them live that I have thought they sounded off. What a band.
This might as well be an official music video, honestly, you can't tell the difference between some of their studio and live stuff and that is fucking incredible.
Valenci needs more credit. I’d say he might even be better at lead than Albert, he’s just a bit less vocal and doesn’t have as much success away from the strokes as Albert has.
@@Grandviewpointma To be fair Albert started his solo stuff much, much earlier than Nick, and released more albums too. And Nick strikes me like someone who's primarily focused on guitar playing rather than anything else. He was the last Stroke to start his solo project and did it mainly because he missed live playing
Nick's a better soloist and doing fast arpeggios, but damn nobody looks cooler than Albert swinging his hands strumming the white stratocaster, his rhythm playing is precise yet energetic.
This may be their best performance of this song. Always a great feeling when you find a strokes live performance that you haven't seen yet.
I was very let down they cut it off before the audiences reaction lol
Mate this is so onpoint
Especialmente si es antigua
Idk this is pretty great, but they played this at Lollapalooza last summer and it was fucking electric!
@George Vasquez Dude, it's not unreasonable that they haven't seen this performance. They're the Strokes, not the Beatles.
Underrated strokes song

Nick's tone is amazing. "things in bars that people do when no one wants to talk to you" is such an iconic line to me
