@@Mao14.88 I'd tell you to silence your racist views, but honestly, they don't mean anything. You must be a RuZZian - going out of your way to spew racist hate, unable to comprehend the stupidity of yourself. Are you going to call me a homosexual next? Maybe a Nazi? A Jew perhaps? Why not all three? Just remember, next time you're trying to see a Nazi, look in the mirror.
To those who want to know the thickness of the leather, I estimated it to be 3-4 oz of veg tanned leather. I will use a 3oz leather for this strap though. Have a great day people✌🏼
I think it's just an aesthetic choice,@@yosalut9790, to make the edges look more finished. Though others could correct me if there is a protective component to burnishing.
Thanks for the video! Probably not the best choice to repeat the first movement of Beethoven's moonlight sonata so many times. It was intended to be played once. Mozart piano sonatas would be a good alternative, but don't repeat a single movement.
@@eemo2093 The pattern?... A ruler and a watch. measure the buckle side so the buckle lands in the middle of your wrist and you'll avoid discomfort of the buckle digging into your wrist or the watch face not being centered on your wrist.
From all the videos that I've been seeing on watch bands, you want 1mm or less thickness. I would recommend veg tan buttero, I get mine from Rocky Mountain leather supply, I bought a whole hide for $200, but they sell smaller pieces too. This is what I bought: www.rmleathersupply.com/products/buttero-veg-tanned-leather-3oz-1-2mm-made-in-italy?variant=32320686948461.

Just finished mine. Thank you!!

Buenas tardes
Cuál es el producto que aplica en los bordes del cuero?
I am not a leather worker and am not sure what he uses but I think it is a leather oil such as Neatsfoot - to soften the leather before burnishing.
What thickness is the leather you used to make this strap?
That´s Victoria´s secret
What the mm of leather thickness. Thank you for videos. 👍

Hi..great video. Please where can i get leather pattern for this???
well done master! very simple but most effective and strong watch strap. What is the fluid called you are using for the edges?
Looks like a burnishing gum. Search for Tokonole Burnishing Gum.
@@TimothyEnloe And is it a aesthetic choice, or does it help to protect the leather ?

What did he put on at 19:31 ?
Either Tokonole or Gum Trag a burnishing agent for the edges
water based oil that won't dissolve the contact cement used previously.
@@incautious1 lol no it is a burnishing agent for the edges to be used with a wood slicker for a nicer edge
Could just be water
