I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks now. Went out and got a gaming laptop. After 15+ years away just played my first online 1v1 and lost. Told the guy I was away for so long and asked for tips. He told me he was the same 3 months ago and to go check out T90 on TH-cam hahaha love this game
You'll likely lose at least your first 10 games while the system tries to work out your true ranking, so don't be disheartened. I found watching all the LEL games really useful when I started - seeing what *not* to do is as good as learning what *to* do (and its fun watching other noobs mess up).

Forget your age, it's basically impossible to play even close to the level of modern AoE players if you did not play for so many yearas. Numerous players practice vs AI, watch guides, practice build orders, etc. I would highly recommend that after some time you pick a civilization that you like and play like 10-20 games only on that civ. This should help you to understand many aspects about the game. Once you feel comfortable with that civ, you CAN switch to a different one, to work on your weaknesses. It's nice to see that some people jump into rankeds so quickly. Many players are too scared to do that - me included 11 But i play team rankeds and I love it
I love this game, but i just cant play much ranked (like 19 games since 2021 around 1k elo) as I just don't have a good mindset for it. I stress and frustrated waaaay too much. wish I could just not care and have fun playing it. I got douched in a soctra game and I wasn't happy 11.
One day I'd like to see a 4v4 pro game on Socotra using the smallest map setting possible, just to see how everyone copes with the sheer claustrophobia (edit: T90 if you see this please make it happen. lol)
I used to love playing Rise of Nations on smallest map with 7 computers. The territory system it has made it interesting, also limited how quickly the computer could boom then steam roll me lol
Long time fan here, I recently played a really funny game where my opponent all-in'ed me with 4 castle drops and my base was just basically 2 folwarks behind my base and I somehow won cause he didnt have any vills left. I'd love to send it to you if interested (also low elo game like this)
Great game, but this should be filed under Mid-Elo maestros. The Low Elo Legends we know and love always have multiple sheep killing, straggler tree chopping, boar lure death, weird building placement, non upgraded AI armies and one-villager Daut castle misadventures and artistry. This is like hiring scab labour to do true Low Elo Legends' jobs for them. The union and the audience won't stand for it.
That was a good game. I would have loved to see the Crossbow/LC combo that blue could have gone with after Kamandaran (and adding some farms). Wood problems he had not.
What counts as low elo legends v. mid elo madness? Where is the elo barrier for that? I ask because I feel like only having LEL and High Elo doesn’t make much sense… Kinda feel like we at least need low, mid, high… Possibly low, mid, high, elite

you should have a way for us to submit games of people being toxic and mean in chat during game for you to out them there is no way to report rude people
I don't think this was an easy win for yellow. He had 5min extra TC idle time at one point and was down 12 vils. He won by fortifying the center of a tiny map. If anything, yellow should be accused of inflating his Elo by one-tricking Socotra.

24:53 Infantry doesnt add arrows. Only if you are teutons with Crenellations.
