Legit question. How are there curses and sickness in soul society. If I remember correctly, when you die, you either become a hollow, you go to hell, or soul society. How does the dead have children.
Because its another cycle of life, you restart and try again, depending on how you lived your life of course. I mean kido/magic exists in the soul society and not the human realm, is curses that big of a jump?
It's more like reincarnation. People in Soul Society can also have children (so do Arrancars in Hueco Mundo ). You can see it with noble families. They also have sickness, age and die. People with Reiatsu just age slower Bleach is inspired by the 5 worlds of Buddhism not by the after life of Christianity.
Bleach is based on mostly Buddhism, they are basically a different form of life a plane of existence but not truly dead and like traditional souls. They still have to eat and are vulnerable to diseases, deadly wounds and can age with the exception of being hollows and hell since they are outside the normal cycle They are still In the cycle of suffering.
