Thank you, Emma, for all your effort and dedication in teaching English. This is really useful to me. I tell you I've learnt a lot from you to polish my knowledge of the English language. As a foreign language learner I find it kind of difficult, but people like you make clear to understand those difficult points I face in the path. And God gifted me with skills for English language and that's why I easily understand your explanations. I had gotten knowledge in American English, and when I found your channel I was fond with British accent. To be honest with you, all my knowledge about this language was in American English. I decided to learn more about British English because it has an elegant characteristic. It's exactly the same with the Spanish language typical in Spain versus the Spanish spoken in America; in Spain they speak with a stylish accent (in the regions where Spanish is spoken), and here in America we don't give importance to the pronunciation of sounds as in the case of c, s, z. American English is easier to pronounce, and maybe easier to learn, compared to British English. Thank you very much for putting so much dedication for teaching. Your passion for teaching is obvious. Thanks.
Amazing timing, right when I gave a class about connected speech in English ! I will happily recommend your video to my students, it will be a great help. You are the best teacher Emma ❤
Hi Emma. A meticulous refresher for a must have skill on spoken English. For one to sound more natural, connected speech is a 'killer' and after a time it becomes second nature. It is never too much to make a complete review like this one. Only here I can find it! Gratitude.
Thanks for another very instructive video, Emma! Now the connected speech pronunciation rules are quite a bit clear to me. Up to the point that I could transcribe a whole text with the connected speech rules, I think (provided there is a dictionary by my side). The problem is when you have to speak. When you have to speak to someone, a) you have to understand what the other people have just said, b) you have to think of what you want to answer, c) you have to think of the grammar, d) you have to think of the vocabulary that you need, e) you have to remember the pronunciation of the words, f) you have to keep in mind that some words have to be pronounced as week forms, and g) you have to think of the connected speech rules, linking ars intrusive ars... and all that in a period of just seconds... Probably too much information to process in such a short time! The phonetic system of English is very hard when you learn English as an adult.
Hi Emma. You are a great teacher. You teach so clearly. Thanks a lot 👍. And in the end respectfully you are so beautiful. This is a great point for us to watch your videos. Thank you so much.
A great English connection lesson! Very friendly, great teaching style, amazing voice and a very nice teacher. What more could one want? I will watch this lecture whenever I find time in my busy schedule. If I understand this lesson completely, I will level up. Unfortunately, I have a long way to go when it comes to speaking English. By the way, I'm craving grape and walnut cake. I like a lot 🥮😋🫖 God bless you.. ❤💛💐

Dear Honourable Sister/Madam, I truly appreciate the valuable and insightful content on your channel. Every video is extremely helpful and serves as an essential resource for students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. However, the auto-generated subtitles on TH-cam are not always accurate. If you could include proper subtitles in all your videos, it would greatly benefit viewers like me and many others. Thank you for your consideration!
Finally I want to ask you as I am an Indian so, I think I should only focus on pronunciation instead of connected speech, intonation etc,. Because these are part of accent 😕. Some teachers say only We should focus on pronunciation instead of accent.
@@observer-rt5jd I think you're a bit confused. Having an accent doesn’t mean speaking poorly... it’s a natural reflection of your linguistic background. However, refusing to work on connected speech and intonation can make your English harder to understand. Improving these elements doesn’t erase your accent. It enhances clarity and professionalism, but it really depends on what you need English for. People have different goals when they study English. No one can tell you what you should do. It's up to you!
