5.0 out of 5 stars A good read. Well done Dave

This is a well put together story. Lots of seemingly unconnected plot lines all come together in a very satisfying conclusion.
5.0 out of 5 stars A real page-turner

With this ingenious basis for a mystery story, D K Dickens has has come up with a plot that will keep you riveted till the last page. Unputdownable.
TH-cam comment: I've read it and really enjoyed it, a real page-turner. It's got everything, romance, gangsters, nasty big Corp, suspense all wrapped up in a great plot. You might know that a musician and guitar maker would also make a great author. Well done!

I actually thought I was watching someone with 300K subscribers. You deserve more subs
Thank you I appreciate your comment! Cheers Dave
Amazing job!!!! The bird artwork is astonishing and that sliding platform you made for the pickups genius!!!
Congratulations!
Thank you! Cheers Dave
It's outstanding! Thanks for sharing the process! Greetings from Brazil
Thank you! Cheers Dave
Brilliant work and incredibly satisfying to watch!
Thank you! Cheers Dave
This is the most amazing build I’ve ever seen for a guitar. Thanks for sharing it!!!
Wow thank you! Cheers Dave
Awesome guitar….. 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Cheers Dave
This one was one of my favorites! God bless and keep doing Dave things!
Thank you, I appreciate your comment! Cheers Dave
I'm planning on building some guitars in the near future, so every video I watch is part of the "research and design" process going on in my head. It's very informative to see how people with different taste in aesthetics and overall design bring their ideas to life, and there are some really great concepts at work in this build.
Thank you, I produce weekly videos showing my step by step process. Its not conventional and probably not the most efficient. I believe the best way to learn is to start building and mistakes are just part of the learning process. All the best with your endeavours. Cheers Dave
Brilliant. Thanks Dave 😎
Thank you! Cheers Dave
Amazing work with that said I would much rather hear more of you talking about the building an less time lapse an music . Brilliant work nonetheless 😊
I agree, my weekly videos are mostly talking with the occasional music clip when I have to wear a mask. Cheers Dave
That hidden pickup insert and adjustment system was brilliant, Dave.
Thank you! Cheers Dave
@@DaveDickens You should patent it if it hasn't been already.
I had wondered about a similar idea before. Well done
Thank you. The movable hidden pickup idea was experimental. Ironically because the pickups are further away from the strings and picking up vibrations from a wider area, the tonal effect of moving the pickups is reduced. The overall effect is a warmer tone more akin to an acoustic guitar. I’ve seen guitars with movable pickups on the top but they look a bit strange. All interesting stuff though! Cheers Dave
@@DaveDickens I dislike scratchplates and pickup rings. I don't mind the direct mounting legless parker guitars. I have 2. My idea was to mount under a maple top from the rear of a thru neck.
I haven't built one for 15 years now. It's tricky where I live.
Brilliant!
Thank you! Cheers Dave
Such an inspiring build. Sounds as good as it looks! Now, I want to try my hand at that type of hollow body.
Thank you! Go ahead and build! Cheers Dave

Fantastic! What talent 👍
I'd love to know how you got the switch and volume pot in there.
With a lot of patience 😂 . I used string to pull them in through the end and through the hole I had cut in the central section. It took ages. Thank you for watching. Cheers Dave
Beautiful work dave. It really is unique. How was the sound of it for you? Sounds versatile to me. Regards, and all the best.
Thank you! The sound is quite different from a normal electric because the pickups are further away from the strings. It’s a softer tone, more like an electro acoustic guitar. I hoping to do an update video soon where I will replace the preamp with an improved version. Cheers Dave
@DaveDickens I can definitely hear the acoustics of the guitar through the pickups. I've done such things in the past, like hiding pickups in a Telecaster under the pickguard, you just need really high output pickups I guess? Love the design very much, elegant shape! Good on you sir, must be fun to have a workshop like that, I'd be building guitars all the time. I used to build guitars in Denmark Street London, "tin pan alley" but that's a long story.
Hi, great job! Good sounding guitar. You not need to make such amount winding of a string around tuner's cilinder or the winding will work as a clock's spring changing length of the string. 2-3 turns are enough. Have a good music projects!
Thank you, you are right and I have changed the way I wind strings. Cheers Dave
Awesome build! Two links out of your watch strap?
😂 unfortunately my old watch is no longer used, its rechargeable battery died (after many years), good news I have a new one and this one fits 👍. Thank you for watching. Cheers Dave
🤘💙👍
👍
Well yes..thats what i call an actual custom build....i make my own guitars but those are essentially strats cause i love strats....cant really call them unique though..hehe...your build is very cool...
Nothing wrong with Strats, I’ve not made one but modded a red squire Strat which is lovely. I did built a tele style, and that’s my fav guitar at the moment. Cheers Dave
@@DaveDickens I know there is nothing wrong with them..on the contrary..i absolutely love them...but when i build one i dont feel like its a super custom build and not some cookie cutter stuff....but then again iam not a builder....i just enjoy anything about strats...lol....
Wow Dave. I'd forgotten just how much work and innovation you put into this instrument. Beautiful end result.
To be honest I shocked myself when I did the edit and I had to cut quite a bit out. Thank you, cheers Dave
a Monty Python fan are you??
Absolutely but i’m not sure of the context with this video. We know the parrot’s dead but I’m not sure about the Kingfisher 😂 cheers Dave
