The animation is strange and professionally created and the animation of the boy and even the architecture holds the vibe the creators of the game were most likely looking for. As a child, he was harshly disciplined by his mother who also happened to be a strict maths teacher. This took place within the generation in which disciplinary beating towards a child was acceptable in society. As the offspring of one of the most corrupt teachers in his time, Baldi was a constant victim of her iron fist-- or as we'd say in this particular situation; iron ruler. Any answer he got wrong in an academics test, or any grade below an A would get Baldi punished. The merciless abuse he faced as a child was instilled in him as he got older. He lost touch with his morale and empathy. He grew up to become what he had feared most throughout his childhood.

Baldi has a phobia of incorrectness in general. As a child, he was harshly disciplined by his mother who also happened to be a strict maths teacher. This took place within the generation in which disciplinary beating towards a child was acceptable in society. As the offspring of one of the most corrupt teachers in his time, Baldi was a constant victim of her iron fist-- or as we'd say in this particular situation; iron ruler. Any answer he got wrong in an academics test, or any grade below an A would get Baldi punished.
The merciless abuse he faced as a child was instilled in him as he got older. He lost touch with his morale and empathy. He grew up to become what he had feared most throughout his childhood.
