New subscriber from Canada..enjoying your content as a home DIY person myself. I confess to having switched to Goodyear welt shoes after a bad experience with Bluntstone boots ( 2 pairs where the soles literally disintegrated) . Having seen some of your shoe repair videos I'm sorry now that I chucked them out as the uppers were in great shape and would have made a fun project. Cheers from Nova Scotia .
I really like these videos! Most things that i buy are secondhand, and this sort of information is key to finding and refurbishing quality goods that i dont think i would get to enjoy otherwise. I yhink so many working class people feel stuck with cheap mass-produced goods that are meant to fall apart, but there are ways to collect and care for quality goods that o really enjoy. It reminds me of when ppl fix like teacups and they look nicer. Kinsuki?
haha the nike sneakers that I wore for 7+ years circa 2007-2014 the glue never failed me, and I ran it in the snow, rain, gravel, mud, heated pavement; the out sole eventually worn out so much that it is probably not healthy to keep wearing them, the new ones don't seems to last as long, the sole or the upper usually fall apart way before the cement glue
