I was at Magic Kingdom in late July of 1976. Drove up from Connecticut with my parents and sisters towing a camper. Now I’m a DVC member since 2000 and have no complaints, every trip is excellent. Thanks for the memories.
Watching this brings me joy, but that anger creeps in concerning ROA Destruction. Joy, anger, joy, anger. Take a minute to appreciate what we have today, cause in a blink of an eye, D23 can take it all away.
Just the sound that isn't there, but I know lots of 8mm camera didn't record audio back in the old times. Maybe add a Disney themed song to it would make it nice.
When I saw that parade, one of the Colonial soldier characters stopped at a water fountain and "got a drink" by shooting the water onto the lips of the head. Always thought that was clever.
Rich colors and deep saturation. I'm curious if this was enhanced after the transfer or native of the film. Also curious about what camera was used. I'm sure we don't know.
It looks like in the filming production, the gentleman on the right side (at 12:30) and seen again on th left side (at 14:13) may be talk show host Mike Douglas. But it's a guess.
Don't know why, but love seeing the parking lots and all the old cars in these videos. LOL!

This was about the time I visited WDW with my high school band. I miss that Disney.

Why is it that all these old Disney World movies from the 70s It always looks like it winter?
Another great find! Is that slo-mo being used in several scenes? If so, was it during transfer or in post?
Could be the conversion and frame rate changing; don't think it was intentional.
@@RetroWDW It was very noticeable when it slowed down on the suffragette with the sign "Win With Women" lol!
I think it was intentionally shot that way. There was a speed control on the camera that I don't think would be easily turned by accident.
Does the People Mover ever go down for refurbishment? It can sure use a good cleaning and painting these days.
