      They are fantastic, we had been looking forward to getting on an edge class ship since we first heard of them being developed and it did not disappoint at all.

      Oh you are going to have so much fun on Apex, such a great ship and the staff and entertainment team were brilliant. We've a few more videos coming out before you board, so hopefully will help the cruise countdown go quicker too. Thank you so much for such a lovely comment, and have a fantastic cruise.

    Blu on Apex looks very, very like Blu on Silhouette. Will be in Blu aboard Apex next month so will be able to make a judgement about the food!

    We're taking the Apex next summer to Norway from Southampton, so I found your channel just from searching Apex. You guys are adorable. I've watched lots of your recent videos now, and you do an awesome job. I especially love your voices- both really pleasant- and the highlights you choose are all relevant and great to see. Thanks so much. I hope you're having as much fun as it sounds like. You make me smile :)

      You are going to have an amazing time on Apex up to the Fjords, that is a cruise we would absolutely do too.
      We promise, we are having even more fun that it sounds on the videos😂

    Thank you for this tour and thanks for showing so much of the ship. I'm a long time Celebrity cruiser so my perspective is different than those seeing this ship and it's called Celebrity Apex and having it define Celebrity. This ship is a departure in many ways and IMO, does not really define Celebrity although it could the direction they may go in with future classes.
    This is not a usual Celebrity style of ship. It doesn't have the Celebrity personality of the previous classes and takes on a more trendy resort personality. The pluses are so many restaurants that all have a different ambiance. So that's one type of public area. Art is very Celebrity and I enjoy their art. The ship theater is state of the art and the show's seem to be upgraded. Buffet area looks great. I think the deck areas may be the best part of the ship though there are some areas that are missing from them. The overall look is upscale and chic though I'm not sure Eden looks that way as it seems more casual. I won't talk about entertainers because that's not a physical part of the ship. Corridors look wide and hopefully accommodate those in scooters well.
    I have really no opinion of the magic carpet. Kind of seems like a novelty to me.
    Minuses. I think people should check out the channel Popular Cruising's tour of the Century. That's a ship that Celebrity sold but this ship class elevated Celebrity to a physical premium ship. They had great service and food on the Meridian and Horizon classes but the Century (Galaxy and Mercury) brought Celebrity's physical product up. In that ship you'll find so many social spaces to dance and mingle and more intimate spots as well to do the same. Yet it had a magnificent dining room, they added one specialty dining room. There's also a card room and library and so many missing elements in the Edge ships. People can be seduced into the newness and relative poshness of the Edge class and the latest tech (Century had the latest tech when it was new) that they don't necessarily see how social indoor activities are crammed into the Club and the Martini Bar. It makes for less variety in atmospheres for people to drink/enjoy music/dance. I wish this Edge class had even half the amount of variety and creativity in their social spots, like lounges, than they put into the restaurants. And why did they have to delete so many popular areas of the Solstice class? I wish the Edge ships also had more of a Celebrity personality in terms of more of the decor. A kind of retro-modern and vibrant look. Some calm champagne aspects are fine but it is, IMO, overused in this ship and I'd like more contrast to the public areas. The one area of the ship that is Celebrity modern-retro is the Normandie restaurant and to a large degree, the Cyprus is as well.
    The next thing is do we like ship within a ship? Is that classism that is bordering on what Cunard does? Is that welcome in Celebrity and other lines? That's a good discussion to have. Because on the Edge ships, the Retreat passenger take up some valuable real estate for a relatively small percentage of passengers. They did pay their money, but is it at the expense of most passengers?

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Benjamin,
      You are welcome, and we are glad you enjoyed the tour, they are something we enjoy filming and doing our voice overs for.
      Having only experienced the solstice class ships prior to Apex, we can't say how we felt about the smaller ones, but we would love to try them while they are still part of the fleet.
      Moving around Apex is very easy, and the corridors, as you noted, are plenty wide enough for any to be able to navigate easily.
      The ship within a ship comment is an interesting one. We are starting our Podcast in January, and this is already on our list as one of the topics. We agree, they do increasingly take up a huge part of the ship. They are less noticeable, to a degree, on the new ships, were they were thought about from the off, but for ships that were retrofit, it really seems problematic. We have sailed in the ship within a ship on MSC, and even Virgin has dedicated areas, such as Richards Rooftop. These are becoming pretty standard now, and if passengers continue to want them, and pay for them, we can't imagine many cruise lines doing away with them any time soon. Our experience on MSC in Yacht Club was so good though.
      All the best,
      Linzi & Mark

    Loved the review and can't wait to try an Edge class ship ... my only gripe would be the amount of adverts...every 5 minutes is a bit much; not sure if it's you or TH-cam that are responsible for placing them, and I realise it makes me sound like a grumpy old man but it really spoiled my enjoyment.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Mark, you would, we are sure love the Edge class. On the adverts, TH-cam recently changed how it does it adverts, and it automatically places them, pre and post, and where it wants to place them during the video too, we don't select them. You can as a TH-camr decide where you want ad's to possibly appear, but it does not mean they will show them, as TH-cam decides when it wants to show an advert based on an individual, rather than on the video or channel you are watching. Hopefully as the new system settles in (it's less than a month since the change), we will see it balance out, a video every five minutes is definitely too much. From a personal viewing perspective, we are fine with them in the same way we get them on commercial TV, roughly every 15 mins.
      Hope it didn't spoil the video too much.

    She looks a beautiful ship guys, how would you both rate her in comparison with similar cruise lines , do you think Celebrity are value for money or would you recommend another cruise line price wise ? Another great vid once again thank you guys ,

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      She is a stunning ship Alan, but how would we compare her to others in the same price range. We have been having that discussion a LOT ourselves, including when we were on there. We think for Value For Money wise, Virgin is better. Celebrity probably most compares directly with Princess, although she probably (in terms of food & service) is a step above them at the moment.
