Comments have been interesting on this one and have definitely opened my eyes to some interesting ideas and perspectives on this one that we missed while watching it. Please please please don't be mad 😅😅😅 I'm gonna do my best to navigate a response to this. Firstly, I'm walking back on saying Robert was a good dude, at least not the entire time. This isn't black and white but very gray. A better statement from me would have been that what he did after the fact was good. It was truly a solid move. Does it give her back the 18 years she gave him? Not even close. But I still think the gesture is very meaningful especially considering the circumstances (don't attack me yet, let me get through this 😅😅😅😅😅). Melinda, justifiably, wanted a divorce. She wanted him out. Robert begged to stay and she wasn't having it. As far as Robert understood, Melinda wanted nothing to do with him ever again. Following this, he was literally homeless, living out of a shelter and just barely surviving. At divorce court, Robert still tried to work it out with her, but she stuck to her guns and said no (again, this is totally understandable - not faulting her at all). It wasn't until Diana gave Robert a place to stay and helped him work out a better deal that things turned around for him. When he turned up at Melinda's office, she made it abundantly clear to him even then that she had zero interest in getting back together with him (again, justified, understandable). He respected this and was asking for nothing. He gave her a check for more money than most people will ever earn in a life time and her family house. Again, this doesn't give her back those 18 years of sacrifice, but it's a big move he could have just as easily not done and it would have been legally impossible to sue him (at least as outlined by the movie). It's also a lot more money than they would have had together had he taken the initial offer of less than a million dollars (which is what she would have preferred at the time). Keeping in mind Robert's selfish approach to their mutual survival and just the overall health of his marriage: in his obsessive mind, he genuinely believed in what he was doing with blinders and he believed it would take them to new heights. He didn't cheat again and was squarely focused on the "golden goose" for both of them. He obsession blinded him from his wife's needs, his marriage and responsibilities. She also made the choice to stay through all that rather than leave sooner. So... please forgive me for those of you who hardcore side with Melinda... but I say this is on both of them. She stayed either because she was extremely loyal, she felt she was in too deep to ever leave (she never wanted her family to know) or had some kind of gambler's fallacy. Whatever the reason was, she stayed. He also made the choice to ignore all the obvious signs his wife was very unhappy and needed actual help along the way. He put Melinda through a lot in this regard. Ultimately, both characters took actions that were harmful. While I understand Melinda's rage when she discovered what Robert was up to right after she got him that car (and it's very easy to understand where she's coming from), she chose to drive her jeep into his trailer. Legally, she would be held 100% accountable for that event. Not her partner who cheated right after generously being given a means of transportation. What he did was SUPER messed up. And what she did could have killed both Robert and Diana. Cheating is wrong, but murder is definitely not the move - refusing to speak to him ever again is the move. Her bodily damage in that car accident was symbolic and foreshadowing. She could have driven away in that moment but chose to try and hurt Robert and Diana, but only hurt herself but taking such an action. This is what gets her in the end. The insane success Robert found came after Melinda made it abundantly clear their marriage was beyond over, after he was homeless and after he was rescued by Diana. If it wasn't for Melinda, Robert would have never been able to reach the first offer of almost 1 million dollars. And if it wasn't for Diana, Robert would have never been able to get the insane deal so he could gift Melinda the 10 million dollars and the house. She wasn't going to get the 18 years back, but she was given an opportunity most people don't get: a chance to start over without the need to work ever again. Whoever Robert moved on with was his business following Melinda's adamance that their marriage was over. It obviously is a big reason to hurt, seeing the person you were with go back with someone they cheated on you with, but he has that freedom to pursue that since he was divorced. I get her rage and I get why those of you siding with Melinda hard core do. And I think the film is meant to be cautionary tale advising the audience members who are going through a tough time: learn to let go. This is a lesson I have struggled with and it's REALLY hard to get through that. Seeing the comments and the discussion this film has invited has made me appreciate this film even more. There is even more to extract from Acrimony than I expected upon initial viewing. It really makes you think and reflect. And lastly, to any possible future Mrs. Koay that might be reading this... Melinda was absolutely right, fuck Robert. 🤣
Hahaha att Mrs. Koay. I saw this before I started my long response and this addressed almost all my concerns. The reason I believe it was extra painful that he moved on with Diana is because that event (caused by her rage) is what took away her ability to have children. So that pain for a woman plus the 18 years is enough to drive any human insane. Another reason for me as you guys explore in your commentary why the whole idea of her being crazy in a non-normal crime of passion way did not sit well for me either. Tyler Perry needed to do more to convince us of that narrative.
Lolz the last part 😂 Firstly I'm glad you guys enjoyed this movie 😊, it definitely lives you thinking. I believe we can all agree that Melinda is crazy, and the sad part is Robert pushed her from her sanity (which was always on the edge) The way this movie is narrated, it makes you want to see M as the victim, and R as the bad guy. I like how you guys pointed that out, also while she was working two jobs, never once has he helped with the housework for 18 years?? That's just hard to believe, she made it sound like he never did anything, when we saw how this man was clean whilst living on his own. To me they both have red flags and shouldn't have been together, and why didn't she continue with university/college? She also could have changed courses and advanced her education. Truth is she was dependent on him for emotional support, love (not the healthy kind), and all along losing her self for this man, while he was with her for the financial support, basic needs, and I don't think he truly loved her the right way (sometimes love alone is not enough, he should have supported her with something). He honestly was living off her, without any guilt, shame or remorse 😅, maybe he was as we only have one part of the story. His love was based on the benefits he had from her, and that's why he felt the need to give back because he knew he owed her. Hear me out... Within the 18 years of them being together he payed back what he took and owed from her, while she gave what cannot be bought and that's why she wasn't happy with what she had from him. She gave herself, which unfortunately is not something you can easily get back. She broke his heart and he broke her. And on the video he made mentioning his wife, made me believe that he genuinely loved his wife, but he also didn't know how to do right by her because he was greedy. I think him being alone from 14 years made him this way, but he wasn't a little boy anymore, this was a grown man who was neglecting his wife and marriage. In life I think it's always good to have a dream and pursue it 😊, but losing yourself to it is a no no... He lost himself for this battery 🔋 Lolz and she lost herself for this man. Another thing that also stays in my mind (maybe it's the Christian in me 😅), but I believe that maybe this man was never going to succeed with her. It's like those people that date a guy for a decade without anything and then after dating within 10 months after moving on he gets married. Some things are just not meant to be 😅 What's sad is a lot of people are taking her side whereas she's not on the right, yes she went through a lot, and I agree with you she could have committed murder (first degree to be specific/ manslaughter). Actions have consequences, Lolz this is reminding me of Tyler Perry's temptations, confession of a marriage counselor. And I hope everyone has a lovely day and amazing festive season 🎄😊
Personally I don’t wanna see any other duo do these reactions sorry I love everybody else but this duo is IT! So I would actually wait for Michael to get back from paternity leave! Baby comes first but I appreciate this duo. ✨
Exactly!! They are the best duo for any films in general, not just the black films. I like their reactions, their little funny, twisted, cute random comments during the films, their humor, their personalities together just hit differently man and they have great chemistry, it's really unmatched. They really bounce off of each other's energies effortlessly. This duo makes me feel like they are my buddies man😂

if he was dating anyone else I think Melinda would have been fine. but the fact that the girl he cheated on her with reaped all the benefits & got pregnant while she essentially only suffered with him and wasted her life after doing nothing but supporting & taking care of him. her crashing out was completely understandable & valid
This Part. That, AND The Fact That He Gave Diana Everything He Originally Promised Melinda. Nbs I Would've Crashed Out The Same Way If I Was In Her Position 😭 Then Again, If I Was In Her Position, I Would've Left Him After He Cheated On Me The First Time When We Were Young 🤷🏽♂️ It Would've Never Gotten As Far As It Did.
Her rage is totally valid. Not her insanity, but the rage is. He's trying to amount everything down to money. That's not going to give her 18 years of working 2 jobs while he was a deadbeat, loss of the family home, loss of the business, her uterus and all the sacrifices she made for him to slack off. He made all these future plans with her, then turns around, and does all of the future plans with someone else like a replacement. That set her off. It set her off even more that this was the girl he cheated on with before and then they're engaged, so she doesn't believe he was faithful during their marriage. She feels set up.
ACRIMONY IS VERY GOOD. I WANNA BE SELFISH AND SAY DON'T TAKE A BREAK 😂 CONGRATS MICHAEL ON FATHERHOOD MAN WE'RE ALL HAPPY FOR YOU AND WE APPRECIATE THE BOTH OF YOU FOR LOVING OUR CULTURE AND CONTINUING THESE FILMS. HOPE TO SEE YOU GUYS REVIEW BEST HOLIDAY AND MORE TYLER PERRY MOVIES NEXT MONTH. LOVE YOU GUYS. ❤
This was one of Tyler’s first adventures into a thriller. I would argue Robert is not really a great guy. Yes he paid everything back but it doesn’t fully take away the pain and the damage it caused in that moment. It doesn’t take away him not stepping up throughout their marriage cause you don’t get that time back. I think we often think a big thing has to happen to make someone evil. But in reality it’s mostly build up over time. However I do think it’s great he paid them back. It just doesn’t take all the pain away but it does dampen the blow. And Melinda took things way too far. I’m so happy for Michael congratulations on being a Dad
I know cheating as a YOUNG man was wrong and SHE spent money and worked hard for him but SHE stayed when she couldve been left but SHE waited until just before he hit it big to leave😂and then SHE went crazy and shot him and then SHE killed herself in mist of it all. Dont u see? Its all about accountability (bars)
@JeffSNIPErs no one is refuting that she could have left way before then. Love make you do crazy things. She believed in him that's why she stayed. We also can't reduce he played a part in her mental collapse.
She should have left him as soon as he cheated on her. The rest of the relationship being bad was all on her. Choose yourself, always, God will take care of the rest.
I'll start by saying y'all are my faves. Congrats on Baby Boose, Michael! Love y'all and can't wait to see you guys back again as a duo. Now... my critique of the film (or your take on it): It's kinda hard to say "He was a good guy." From a female perspective, a good guy would have recognized that he broke her into what she became and sent their marriage into a divorce. He only started to be a "good guy" when he got money. Even when he knew her sister's business was on the line, he only thought of himself. He neglected her and their marriage long before his happiness=money, while she was happy even when he was draining her of it... And instead of him making it and delivering on 18+ years of empty promises even after they've divorced and made even 1 attempt to try to work on their broken marriage... he made it, gave her a check for her 'troubles' (no matter the sum) and then married someone else right away. Taraji was definitely crazy and needed to be on meds because her reaction was out of bounds. But... him. No, not a good guy. A good guy would have been more considerate of his actions from the jump. He can try to be a good guy moving forward and in the future but he wasn't a good guy to her.
For whatever Robert reason is I can understand Melinda’s rage. She literally carried the load of his dreams for 18 years with the promise of a life that never came to be. In addition he then gets into a relationship and marries the same woman he initially cheated on her with when they were young so how could she take his “I never cheated” as truth. I applaud Taraji in her performance right after the time jump you can literally feel the exhaustion on her. 10 million is a lot but I get the rage she had and why she felt that it wasn’t enough.
Dude isn't perfect and he made mistakes but that promise he made would of came true for her had she stuck by him. She betted on herself and lost, that's her fault.
And time is something you cannot get back as well as her losing her reproductive system in a hysterectomy. 10 Mil is not enough, but was a good start. She wanted him to prove it. And also look how hard he fought for his invention. And if she didn’t believe in him, provide for him for over 10 years and support him, he would not have been able to prefect his idea. You see when he didn’t have that support he stopped working on his project. He didn’t even have a phone or home. That makes a difference in someone achieving his success.
@@treythegem1334she stuck by him for 18 yrs that’s more than enough sticking. She gave everything up for him and he made her family lose their business, you would be tired too
It wouldn't have come through if they were still together. The lady started really pushing for him to get through with Preston because she took him in, and they became involved shortly after. Had she kept him after he rejected the $800,000 I doubt he would've been reconsidered. And they would've been without the house, and both of them homeless. The issue was she loved that man, and he made that marriage loveless. He stopped hugging her, no intimacy, no nothing, just 18 years gone down the drain and she was tired. Her choosing to divorce him wasn't the issue. It wasn't about the money, she just wanted him to pick up his slack. But the moment he gets his big break, he already chose to give it all to somebody else even though she spent 18 years standing by him through all his hell. The 10mil wasn't enough because she loved him, and wanted him along with everything else, but he gave it to the girl he told her she didn't have to worry about anymore. I'm not saying that her insanity was justified, but I am definitely saying I could understand her rage.
@@treythegem1334that’s easy to say in hindsight when u know the being of the movie but imagine being in debt and your house being foreclosed on and getting ready to be homeless while your husband is unemployed.
The same way Robert got so upset when he thought he wasted all those years when he received that restraining order against him is the same way Melinda got upset towards the end. Nothing can replace time wasted and you missing out on what could’ve been during all those years.
This movie is a rough one. It’s also a movie that has views split down the middle -between men and women. A man will never truly understand Melinda’s side. The truth is Robert was the true villain. Men will only think of the money aspect because men and women perceive time differently. Men think she doesn’t deserve anything cause she divorced him and he gave her money and her house back - but he took so much more from her than money. He took her time, his actions and hers took her womb, her belief in love, her belief in happy endings, her belief that if you do the right thing by the person you love they won’t leave you, her patience, her youth, he took ALL OF HER JOY. He took her for granted, took advantage, used her and then when he actually became successful after all the blood, sweat, and tears. He gave her up after she fought for him for 18 years. It was his time to fight and he NEVER showed up to the battle. He simply moved on. Men will never understand the true depth of this movie.
All of this. While I don't condone her actions, I understand her anger and pain. Years wasted on a man who so quickly gives you up while he benefits off the sacrifices you made. The hysterectomy alone is enough to sympathize with her as a woman!
@ Exactly! If you want to know how simple minded and shallow hearted a man is show him this movie. They will say Robert was a good guy who did right by her every time. This man is a vampire.
He took her youth, her chance for kids, and wasted her life. Yes, she got the money but she doesn't know that he wasn't cheating on her with Diana (?) The entire time. It's like he used her to support himself and his dreams then gave the life that they worked so hard for to the same woman who he cheated on her with. And that woman looks good, like she hasn't been working two jobs for 18 years and she gets pregnant. It's bullcrap. Now, personally, I would have used the money to buy the life I always wanted and adopt a kid. She went too crazy when it came to the acid, lawsuit, and boat.
To be fair, I do understand Melinda's rage😅lol. Robert Gayle did take some of the best years of her life. On top of adding all of the stress from the bills and struggle from him not working over the years (almost 2 decades), and just the pure waste of her youth that she gave to him. Of course she didn't know he was going to hit it big decades later, but I think the fact that he was inconsiderately flaunting the new girl, Diana (the same one she caught him with, years before) in her face, kind of made her rage understandable.
Not to mention he used his manipulation on her when they were younger. For example, by getting her to get an almost $30,000 car for him, when he just needed a simple one to get from point A to point B.
Yall are nuts lol. Nobody made this woman stay. She could have divorced him long ago like she eventually did. If she would have left, he could have found the more supportive girl and probably would have hit even quicker lol. Woman got 10 times the amount she spent lol. Yall are insane.
People really tend to not factor in the years on years of mental abuse tarajis character went through. Over a decade of it. Then to move on with the girl that you cheated on her with years ago. Is just the nail in the coffin I think that would’ve broke anyone. 10 million or not time is completely different.
Yup and shes holding on through the disappointment while her family is telling her to not deal with him, to finally reach a final straw and then he finally got his shit together.
@gifi11 With 10 million and my mother's house, I would've felt a way, but I could've moved on with life. A vacation, start a small business, there are so many options.
@@theSoc1alScientist i really hope they do that next and then i hope they are done with Tyler Perry and do some of the other black classics people have been suggesting. Set it off and Love and basketball were such good reactions I want them to see more
Hey, so in case the intro was at all confusing, there are other videos with Michael and I coming this month. Acrimony is just the last one we shot together for 2024. We shot two other reactions before Acrimony. I just moved the release dates of the other videos around for logistical reasons. I don't actually know how many Tyler Perry reactions Achara and I would do realistically, given we have the holidays coming up. Most of what you'll see coming out on the channel for the remainder of the year was shot a while ago in preparation for December (including the remaining Tyler Perry reactions with Michael and I for 2024). We will try our best to keep it going uninterrupted into the new year!
Better not do best man holiday without him 😤😤😤 both of you have chemistry that I really really enjoy 🥺😭 Congratulations Michael!!! Enjoy your time with baby and mama.

I guess this movie is one of those things where money can not make up for time lost. And I guess the peace of mind you lose in the process. Edit:Can yall blame her for not believing in him at some point? Like, dude didn't even want to help himself with his own dream. And imo dude was a bad guy just not in the way taraji was. Like he was not good husband to the main person who supported him. He didnt deserve to get shot but the build up to that happening was very clear to see.
as someone who just went through this (was in a relationship with a BUM who had no job and no money and i had to support him and soon as he got a job he blocked me. all i got from him was a one time with a used hole, headache, heartache, hospital bills, stress and a loss of sanity) this movie has never been more relatable. i loved it the first two times cause i know myself well and know i would go CRRRRRRRRRRRRRAZY over a man using me, it hits different after actually being there. great film and acting by taraji. yeah it drags in bits but boy does it deliver.
I'm not trying to be passive aggressive here, just really love discourse over this film (I'm all over this comment section lol), but genuinely what do you think led her to divorcing him? Cuz she didn't just get up and decide on a whim, that was 18 years of her sticking beside him...@@gifi11
This movie had us shook! Tyler Perry shot this in just 7 days because Taraji was still doing "Empire" and she only had a week before her shooting for Empire was about to start. Tyler is a genius is should be regarded more. Madia is just one aspect of his portfolio and folks act like all of his movies are Madia movies.

I think people don’t realize is the money doesn’t make up for the manipulation & mental/emotional abuse that Melinda went through since essentially the beginning. The car. Helping his pay for his degree that he didn’t/couldn’t even use. Taking care of them both for literal decades and footing the bill for his dreams and all the came along with it . The money also cannot replace what she lost. She lost her ability to have kids, her youth, her mother’s home (even if she did get it back later). She sacrificed so much and I’d argue that he didn’t go through nearly as much as he put Melinda through. He was in his soft girl era if we’re being honest. Melinda set him up for success and he constantly left her high and dry, especially when she began to get fed up and made him start pulling his weight. She built him up just for him to 1. Get back with the woman he cheated on her for all those years ago and 2. Give her all the things he promised Melinda, including a child. It’s like a slap in the face so I can understand her rage.
@@gifi11because she was dumb and in-love eventually she was heartbroken when she thought he cheated and finally snapped back to reality at the worse fucking moment. I would’ve never spent any of that money on him, I would’ve stayed single and financially stabled with the money her mother had left her.
@@gifi11because she was a fool that was in love and saw his potential instead of who he showed himself to be. She didn’t wanna turn her back on him and wanted to support him like society says women should do with their mate. & when you’re young & you become bound to a person, and they’re all you know, it’s harder to let them go. It happens everyday🤷🏾♀️ I wouldn’t have stuck it out that long personally.
@alexist7772 harder, of course. Life is hard. You don't stop doing things that are right or best for you because it is hard lol if someone abuses you, they are in the wrong, and that sucks. At some point, you have to look in the mirror and ask one self, why am I letting myself be abused. Anything else is an excuse.
There are other videos coming - this is just the last one we shot. I mixed up the order for release to give editors more time on one video and put the other one Michael and I shot closer to the holiday.
@@CinePalsmaybe take a vote because as much as i love these reactions, I'm willing to wait for Michael if he's coming back the first of the year. You 2 have a chemistry together and with these movies. I understand when one of your have seen the movie then adding someone else but if it's a first watch I rather have you 2. It just works. 😊
"WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT" NEXT PLEASEEEEEE also Congrats Michael enjoy your baby girl she will have you wrapped around her finger trust im a daddy's girl lol you'll melt. ❤
God, I was waiting for this reaction. I'm now satisfied. I love this movie so much. Taranji P. Henson was so magnificent in this movie. Absolutely batshit. When I saw this in theaters, I was on the edge of my seat. After she ran her car into his trailer, then sat in discontented silence for 18 years, I was waiting for her to explode and I was scared. Love this movie!
This movie is very conflicting for me. I get her anger, and the thing is, she was still so angry because it wasn't just about the money she spent trying to help him out for 18 years. He did alot of emotional and mental damage. And she wanted her life with him. Now she had to see him be with the woman he cheated on her with, and she gets to reap all the rewards without any of the time put in. I'd be furious too. But I will also say he was a decent enough man to pay her back.
This film actually did have potential. The beginning monologue and the ones throughout the film are fantastic and full of vitriol. Tyler Perry is great when it comes to insults. I do love it in the last quarter where Melinda displays real-life stalking antics. It was very effective for me. I saw a Tyler Perry interview where he was inspired by friends/couples coming up to him and others and their stories didn't all line up. Showing that their stories don't line up because they are seeing and explaining it through their point of view. I expected to get Melinda's point of view vs. reality, but we never get that. That would have been great. It didn't have to be Melinda was crazy and a liar, it could have been a mix of things. Also, Tyler Perry made the movie in eight days.
@@geometro9598nah even tho they both did foul things they were both victims, her sisters the new wife and her friend were the real ones that were in he wrong
Aww congratulations!! 👣🎊 but also 😢 as this is my absolute favorite duo. But what a blessing it is to have an opportunity to take time off as you adjust to your precious new addition. 🙏🏾
Robert may not have cheated but he was not committed to the marriage either, he was committed to the battery. Melinda also wanted him more than she wanted the money cause even after they divorced she was thinking of Robert. Money is also not going to make up for Melinda's emotional and exhausted state for the last 18 years. Robert may not have been a bad guy but he definitely was a bad husband.
This was a recommendation of mine! Glad ya’ll watched. Melinda was too drained and damaged by the relationship to be saved by his fortune. That’s a very deep level of pain. I saw this in theaters and felt Taraji’s wrath performance in my bones for those psychiatry scenes. She’s so damn good!
Oh my gosh, in the new year I recommend you both watch "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor". You haven't seen dark until you seen that movie. It's all over the damn place but it's entertaining as hell
Unpopular opinion but I feel like both of Melinda and Robert were in the wrong but I feel more for Melinda because of everything he put her through that led up to her breaking point
30:28 I’m glad someone said it. I hate when certain characters in film and tv shows are jacked or “ripped” with no explanation. As someone who frequently works out, you need at least a few months to years of consistent lifting to get some of these physiques. But some characters will be huge but do nothing but sleep on the couch all day
Michaelllll!!! Congrats on the baby girl - you’re gonna love being a Daddy, girl dads are awesome!!! Thanks for listening to us and yes Taraji is a phenomenon please give us What’s Love Got to Do With It, Waiting to Exhale, Boomerang, Temptations and the Five Heartbeats to name a few when you return…you guys are top tier! ❤
The crazy can be like a flip of the switch. You won't know what happened until you come back to the calm. The crazy can be a slow burn , a build-up, and then a snap. There is no coming back from the second one. You try to fight the crazy because from previous blow ups, your life gets ruined. You're in serious trouble.
congrats on the baby Michael! take as much time as you need to enjoy your new blessing, we’ll still be here. 😭❤️ I think you guys should react to “A Thin Line Between Love & Hate” with Martin Lawrence & Lynn Whitfield.
So glad y'all finally watched this one. I think it's wild that you guys really sat there and said driving your vehicle into a trailer...twice and then throwing a brick thru a car window isn't CRAZY!!!
With the Tyler Perry movies can we please stick to you both reacting together please. Its good to see you both watching together its your journey and were on your bus. Please
Congratulations Michael ! I’m getting induced tomorrow myself with my first child 🥹 thank you guys for appreciating our culture and movies enjoy your break but never stop ! We love you guys Happy Holidays 💚❤️
Loved watching this with y’all, but that’s a wild take to say he was a “good guy”. 😂 A good guy would not lay next to you in bed every night and watch you lose your mom’s house because he chose not to step up and help out. I think they’re both at fault because she let that rage get the best of her and it was her downfall.
Congratulations Michael 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 You guys are the perfect duo reacting to Black cinema ❤ I will wait for Michael’s return to watch , I can’t imagine anyone else
That last paragraph 😂😂❤❤❤
Hahaha att Mrs. Koay. I saw this before I started my long response and this addressed almost all my concerns. The reason I believe it was extra painful that he moved on with Diana is because that event (caused by her rage) is what took away her ability to have children. So that pain for a woman plus the 18 years is enough to drive any human insane. Another reason for me as you guys explore in your commentary why the whole idea of her being crazy in a non-normal crime of passion way did not sit well for me either. Tyler Perry needed to do more to convince us of that narrative.
@@tengigeorge-ikoli3688 what do you mean non normal crime
Future Mrs Koay wants you to watch For Colored Girls. Thank you Baby. See you at home for dinner. ❤
Lolz the last part 😂
Firstly I'm glad you guys enjoyed this movie 😊, it definitely lives you thinking. I believe we can all agree that Melinda is crazy, and the sad part is Robert pushed her from her sanity (which was always on the edge)
The way this movie is narrated, it makes you want to see M as the victim, and R as the bad guy.
Some things are just not meant to be 😅
What's sad is a lot of people are taking her side whereas she's not on the right, yes she went through a lot, and I agree with you she could have committed murder (first degree to be specific/ manslaughter).

if he was dating anyone else I think Melinda would have been fine. but the fact that the girl he cheated on her with reaped all the benefits & got pregnant while she essentially only suffered with him and wasted her life after doing nothing but supporting & taking care of him. her crashing out was completely understandable & valid
This i understand 🤷🏾♀️
I love how the girl that played the younger version of taraji on here played the younger version of her on empire too
Her rage is totally valid.
🎯🎯🎯 Well said!

And the new wife being pregnant while she had to have a hysterectomy!

Well said! ♥️
@@TheKittsPajamasI definitely agree
I’ll take that. Your perspective makes sense to me. Thank you.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Well said!
Exactly!
Should've listened to the sisters and left but hey 🤷🏾♂️
@@Yun6Frayser That’s so easy to say when observing. It very human to stay even when the situation is toxic. He was her family.
@ Exactly! If you want to know how simple minded and shallow hearted a man is show him this movie. They will say Robert was a good guy who did right by her every time. This man is a vampire.
I have really enjoyed your deep dive into Tyler Perry. Congrats on the baby, Daddy Michael!
Great analysis! 🎯
Exactly!! 10M for all of her pain and suffering was chump change. She wanted him to love and fight for her. He used her up! Robert is not a good guy
Yall are nuts lol. Nobody made this woman stay. She could have divorced him long ago like she eventually did. If she would have left, he could have found the more supportive girl and probably would have hit even quicker lol. Woman got 10 times the amount she spent lol. Yall are insane.
@@Nik-Pete10M? He shouldn't have gave her nothing, they weren't married anymore. Not his fault his life got better after her
Should've followed her husband instead of listening to her sisters
People really tend to not factor in the years on years of mental abuse tarajis character went through. Over a decade of it. Then to move on with the girl that you cheated on her with years ago. Is just the nail in the coffin I think that would’ve broke anyone. 10 million or not time is completely different.
Yup and shes holding on through the disappointment while her family is telling her to not deal with him, to finally reach a final straw and then he finally got his shit together.
Yeah right. Give me the 10 million, I would have been more than fine.
@gifi11 With 10 million and my mother's house, I would've felt a way, but I could've moved on with life. A vacation, start a small business, there are so many options.

Why did she stay?
@@gifi11because she was dumb and in-love eventually she was heartbroken when she thought he cheated and finally snapped back to reality at the worse fucking moment. I would’ve never spent any of that money on him, I would’ve stayed single and financially stabled with the money her mother had left her.
@@gifi11because she was a fool that was in love and saw his potential instead of who he showed himself to be. @alexist7772 harder, of course. Life is hard. You don't stop doing things that are right or best for you because it is hard lol if someone abuses you, they are in the wrong, and that sucks.

The next one gotta be:
Brown Sugar
The Best Man Holiday
Love Jones
Yes, and A Madea Christmas
And Think like a man!
WHATS WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT NEXT!!!!! Angela Bassett wore that role OUT 🗣️
Not sure how your channel found me, but I’m so glad it did. It got me through the worst sickness I’ve ever experienced. Thanks!
This movie has sooo many layers because you have to ask yourself who truly was in the wrong
Who’s truly in the wrong? My vote goes to the stalker and the person that attempted double homicide 😳
@@geometro9598they both were equally wrong at different points in time.
he was definitely wrong , he caused the bulk of her crazy .
she was wrong too but its understandable @@geometro9598
@@geometro9598nah even tho they both did foul things they were both victims, her sisters the new wife and her friend were the real ones that were in he wrong
@@Boibluuhow were the sisters in the wrong
THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD CINEPALS! I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS REACTION! I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!🩵
Wait no😭 do THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY! First Plzzz it’s a Christmas movie perfect timing. But congrats on the baby also 🎉
I'll miss your reviews. Congrats on the bundle of Joy. Thanks for your reviews, really enjoyed watching them!! 💯🔥
Aww congratulations!! 👣🎊 but also 😢 as this is my absolute favorite duo. But what a blessing it is to have an opportunity to take time off as you adjust to your precious new addition. 🙏🏾
Jaby, we have been asking Tyler for YEARS how she got on that boat in the first place!!😂😂😂
Congrats Mickey! You guys are my fav duo! I’ll patiently await the return of you both together and keep watching the channel
Congratulations on the sweet baby Michael ❤ I’m gonna miss this duo but I’m super excited to see what you watch next ❤
Almost Christmas! Pleaseeee!!!
You two never miss a beat. I've been enjoying watching your reactions for months now and it just gets better and better.
I literally get so happy everytime you guys watch black cinema movies!!!!!!!!
I’ve never watched this one. Welp, going to be watching it blindly with my favorites! ❤
What did you think about it? Did you like it?
@ I LOVED IT! Omgoodness, I did not expect it to turn out the way it did
Michael congratulations on the baby! That’s a lucky kid to have such an awesome dad!
Ahhhh. 🎉 You guys are doing Acrimony. I'm so excited. Love it!!! Congratulations Michael!!! 🎉 🧑🍼
Unpopular opinion but I feel like both of Melinda and Robert were in the wrong but I feel more for Melinda because of everything he put her through that led up to her breaking point
Michael bring the baby for the Tyler Perry reactions, we dont mind ☺
CONGRATS MICHAEL!!!🎉👶🏼
Congratulations on the new baby!!!!
Congratulations Michael!! Very best to you,mom and baby ❤
Congratulations Michael!!!!! Love y’all’s reactions. We’re going to miss this duo until your return!
Congrats Michael on your new bundle of joy! 🎉❤ bless yall love this channel makes me feel im watching with friends
congrats on the baby Michael! take as much time as you need to enjoy your new blessing, we’ll still be here. 😭❤️ I think you guys should react to “A Thin Line Between Love & Hate” with Martin Lawrence & Lynn Whitfield.
omg congratulations on the new little one, michael!!!!! thanks for these reactions yall
Congrats on the baby🎉
The fact that Ring the Alarm by Beyoncé was not in this movie was a total letdown. If anybody listens to that song, it describes this movie perfectly.
Welcome to the world, Baby! Congrats Michael and co. ❤❤❤❤
Aww congrats!!! Can't wait for my duo together again!!
Awwwwwwwwm Micheal congrats on the new baby!!!best wishes!!
Yesssss love you guys! Always coming thru ❤
Ughhh I need you to do TEMPTATION! lol and awww I like you and Michael together 😂
So glad y'all finally watched this one. I think it's wild that you guys really sat there and said driving your vehicle into a trailer...twice and then throwing a brick thru a car window isn't CRAZY!!!
Seeing them watching black movies raises my serotonin levels. I click every time 🧡
Lord, why 😭 The pals people steered you guys wrong with this one 😂
Also! Congratulations on Baby Boose, Michael!
Hey guys! Boomerang with Eddie Murphy Please!😁🥰
With the Tyler Perry movies can we please stick to you both reacting together please. Its good to see you both watching together its your journey and were on your bus. Please
Congrats Michael 🎉
I'm glad you guys chosed this one 😊
Congratulations Michael ! I’m getting induced tomorrow myself with my first child 🥹 thank you guys for appreciating our culture and movies enjoy your break but never stop ! We love you guys Happy Holidays 💚❤️
Loved watching this with y’all, but that’s a wild take to say he was a “good guy”. 😂 A good guy would not lay next to you in bed every night and watch you lose your mom’s house because he chose not to step up and help out. I think they’re both at fault because she let that rage get the best of her and it was her downfall.
Congrats on the baby. I’ve really enjoyed this channel. I recommend taking a break from TP and watch Brown Sugar, Love Jones, and/or Poetic Justice.
Congratulations Michael 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You guys are the perfect duo reacting to Black cinema ❤ I will wait for Michael’s return to watch , I can’t imagine anyone else
