100% I want to see how you did this. I finally got a garage after 4 years and this would be a perfect addition to all the other Ryobi stuff I own. Looks awesome.
i was about to say...where to get the speaker from...then you said you had made it lol. It would be nice if ryobi came out with a powered subwoofer to pair with the clip ons though for sure...
Did you basically wire the speaker inputs from the existing speaker to the new one, then build the box. You did a really good job making it look factory, I already started looking online to buy one.
No, I removed the speaker, wired the speaker wires to a line level converter which outputs RCA which is very low output like headphones loud. Then wired that to an amplifier which is powered by the battery (it goes from 12-24volts). Then I wired the amp to a bookshelf speaker and stuffed everything into the bookshelf speaker. Added a handle and some Ryobi color to it.
Yeah, I just got my two pack, but when I try to play both of those and my other larger speaker the sync is off no matter how I adjust the metronome to sync. I'm thinking this would be golden to get another and add a larger speaker and air space.

Yes please. Would love information on how you did this. Great job 👏🏼
I went to the HD site to buy one! Great Job!
That's awesome man, I thought it was a real product..ryobi should pay attention
I would love to make one of these. Can you tell me what you used and plans, if you have any?
Would love to see the parts list !
Any plan to create a tutorial on how you did this?
That sounds awesome, I want one.
Good job 👍🏼

@@rickplunk1171 well, it's very impressive.
@@rickplunk1171 Really liked your project, can you please post links to the line converter and amplifier that you used, thanks.
That's cool. How'd you build it?
Would like information..thank u that was cool
It’s time for you to make that video on how to convert a speaker into Ryobi verse.
😂 BRO U R AWESOME 💯🇺🇸👍
Awesome
If one ryobi made something these, lol. How did u make this possible.
Did you hook the power from the battery strait to the amp or did you come off the control circuit board somehow
Straight from the battery to the amp. The amp can take 12-24 volts DC
Nice thanks
We are wanting for your tutorial!!!
Is the how-to video out yet?
Matthew, not yet, I am waiting until a donor speaker is back in stock. They are hard to find at the moment.
Are you going to do a construction video.
Its a Dayton Air B652, just a regular bookshelf speaker

What 50W amp and line level converter did you use? Did they run directly from 18V or did you also add power conditioning?
Hey Rick any plans on doing a how to video?
I will try to soon, I never had so many requests before but I think this information needs to be shared
I recognize that dayton air b652 speaker. 😉
😎
Neat!
Someone got lucky
Obviously i knew it from the get go. They had nothing from the lineup like that. Nice job though.
Worst demo song ever....
