What I would recommend is baby wipes. It helps keep it clean. And the always thin pads #5 is what I use. U can use baby wipes or the summers eve. That’s what I use. I just got diagnosed in December. The first time I had an outbreak was because of a period. Wasn’t using wipes like usual. But now I make sure I do. And I haven’t had another one yet.
I started getting outbreaks when I started menopause. I always get them around my period. I eat lots of veggies. I take supplements. I'm physically active. I support my gut health/ immune system. But I still get the outbreaks every month. I have taken acyclovir which stops an outbreaks but I still get a dark spot left on my skin. Very frustrating . I have alot of unsightly scarring that takes forever to fade.

No I don't get a outbreak on my period.. I found I got herpies. I found like 4 months ago

And tested positive? It means you're asymptomatic. You can still transmit though.
