Anyways, that's the problem here, Katrina is somehow taken for granted here, she still doesn't have the big break she deserves. I mean yes, she gets invites to sing in big events here in the Philippines but still, she deserves her own concert and everything in between what someone like her deserves. I feel like she still relies most of her success on TH-cam uploads. So I definitely agree with you Ovela, she should be singing with the Divas. 🙁
She should also use TH-cam a little more to showcase her talent.

disagree. may be if she’s a little bit younger she would penetrate the international stage or get a record deal. Hollywood wants young talents and she’s not eligible to join X factor UK since she has local songs and album already. I wish and pray she could make it internationally.

You were right, Katrina wasn’t given enough break to be on the bigger stage. I guess it’s a question of how her management handles her career.
TV networks like ABS-CBN (Channel 2) and its rival GMA (Channel 7) are probably afraid of Katrina, because they know that she’s a beast and she can definitely outshine their homegrown artists like for example Sarah G and Morissette on ABS CBN or Jona who used to be a talent of GMA and Aicelle Santos from GMA.
But note, most singers or artists of GMA 7 are already transferring to ABS CBN because the latter has an extensive knowledge of handling talents. The only person that ABS cannot pirate is REGINE. Because she is loyal to the network who gave her the break and trusted her to become a show host which is the SOP where JAYA, LANI MISALUCHA and many other seasoned artists were part of.
Ok the point is, ABS CBN for example are taking care of Sarah G’s career because of the magnitude of Sarah’s fans ever since she won the talent shows.
Look what the fans of Sarah are doing to Morissette, they bully her on social media. The fans are jealous of Morissette because she is a powerhouse belter and is actually starting to create her own name internationally than Sarah. So the network are taking care of Sarah, although inevitably they cannot control the growing numbers of Mori’s fans.
I think, that’s the reason why Katrina is not on Television shows. But I do agree that she should be given a fair chance.

Katrina is very underrated. I don't know what's going on between her and the two major tv stations here in the Philippines (GMA and ABS-CBN). I think if I remember, she joined in some singing competition in both stations like X Factor Philippines but she never get to the finals.

Alucard yeah I agree. But the fact that she nails and slays every runs and techniques that shes been doing with her crystal clear voice while singing, is a good sign that she is a better "mediocre performer" than some other singers who still appears on a national television nowadays.

Their comments to her joining a singing contest were good however like wat ive said,., her style of being mediocre is very common ,,.. and people from that style did not happen 2 shine like a big "Star" as our singers nowadays,.. Sarah geronimo is not a total belter but she did have her wings to fly high because she's unique,...(but i must agree she's a good mediocre performer compared to her batch)
She can actually rejoin competitions most especially The Voice to reignite all possible opportunities for her. Take for example, Radha, Arnee, Monique Lualhati et'al. I hope she really joins. Win or lose that's exposure, more gigs, more opportunities and income for sure.

Sarah Geronimo, Morissette Amon and Jona joined singing contests before. They all had contracts right after their respective contests, which allowed them to perform weekly in noontime shows, which eventually enabled them to be recognized more. On the other hand, Katrina joined X Factor Philippines but not as a solo act. She was in a group called A.K.A. J.A.M. They didn't win. After that, they joined again in a contest but still failed to be hailed as the champion. After that, career-wise, everything seemed unclear for their group. I've never seen them perform as a group again on TV. People recognized Katrina as the Suklay (Comb) Diva because of her videos here in TH-cam, but I think her most viral videos were her impersonation videos.

Katrina won International awards already but still not being given a fair chance to be in the podium of great young divas. Her vocal abilities and calisthenics are far way beyond the mainstream young divas. But definitely among those bests. We are all hoping that one day she'll be part of the "Birit Queens" of ASAP. Filipinoes are more into GOOD LOOKING FACES! Sorry to say but Katrina looks nice but for Filipinoes, Physical beauty is defined differently aside from the Talent itself. She has a Manager also, I believe that if she gets a Contract and/or a Manager as a Talent from GMA or ABS-CBN, thats when she'll have more breaks. Katrina though is a Beast in singing and super humble and nice. I really hope she gets what she deserves in the future.

She lost competitions in the Philippines like Xfactor and Talentadong Pinoy ( Another Version Of Philippines Got Talent ).
