Depends on individual preference. I shoot mainly at night, insta360 Acepro is amazing, providing way sharper image than Gopro12. Especially when using under low light situation.
The Hero 12 can do 360 Horizon lock without Max lens mod, in all resolutions in linear lens. Max lens mod is only needed if you want a wider fov, so you dont have to add the mlm's cost.
I'll probably get the AcePro coming from the OG DJI osmo action gen1 that I've sold. Insta360 sold me on the Garmin integration and o think the AcePro rocks anyway

Great video, hands down ace pro is 1000 times better as I have both, its not even close.

Is the insta compatible with Samsung phones ect
I am having real probs with my One RS and Samsung S23 Ultra, they just never seem to be able to talk to each other :(
