I just saw these interviews this week for the first time. I had no idea these existed. These are outstanding and incredibly interesting . I will watch them all. I listened to my first UK broadcast in 1959 via Claude Sullivan so these interviews take me through my life as a UK fanatic. These are so well produced and so interesting to watch. Every UK fan should watch every episode. Thanks Kyle.
I was listening to Mr. Ledford & Mr. Hacker call what was obviously an away basketball game several years ago. Mr. Hacker started observing how the timekeeper had trouble starting & stopping the clock in harmony with the officials and was on a roll. Mr. Ledford let him finish and then gave us one for the ages. "If I have one hour left to live, put me in Bowling Green and let Western run the clock!!" Is there a history behind that comment? As a former clock operation in the JUCO ranks years ago, I'm curious as to the origins of Mr. Ledford's classic comments. I"m sure there were others as well. I also heard Mr. Hacker described as "The Best Dressed Man in Radio."
I love UK basketball and football and, of course, Cawood. However, I did not care for Ralph Hacker. He couldn't hold a candle to Cawood. Having said that, because of this interview I have much more respect for him as a person and businessman.

Much like Hall, Ralph had huge shoes to fill in place of Cawood and I thought was a worthy replacement.

Actually Mr.Hacker had a great radio voice. He was an excellent announcer. Grew up listening to Cawood and Ralph...Love you Ralph from Owensboro
